2026 Wisconsin Gubernatorial Election
The 2026 Wisconsin gubernatorial election is scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026, to elect the governor of Wisconsin. Incumbent Democratic Governor Tony Evers is eligible to run for election to a third term but has not announced if he will do so. This will be one of five Democratic-held governorships up for election in 2026 in a state won by President Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election and the state with the closest presidential margin of victory, just under one percentage point. Sarah Godlewski
Sarah Ann Godlewski (born November 9, 1981) is an American businesswoman and politician serving since March 2023 as the 31st secretary of state of Wisconsin. She was appointed secretary of state by Governor Tony Evers after the previous secretary of state resigned. She previously served as the 36th state treasurer of Wisconsin, from 2019 to 2023. She was a candidate for in the 2022 election, but withdrew from the race in July 2022, before the primary election. David Crowley (Wisconsin Politician)
David C. Crowley (born May 14, 1986) is an American politician and the 7th County Executive of Milwaukee County, Wisconsin. He is the first African American to serve as the county's top official, and, at age 33, also the youngest. He previously represented Milwaukee as a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, serving from January 2017 until June 2020. WISC-TV (channel 3) is a television station in Madison, Wisconsin, United States, affiliated with CBS and MyNetworkTV. It is the flagship television property of locally based Morgan Murphy Media, which has owned the station since its inception. The 84th Assembly district of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in southeast Wisconsin, the district comprises part of southeast Waukesha County, Wisconsin, Waukesha County and northwest Racine County, Wisconsin, Racine County. Wisconsin State Assembly
The Wisconsin State Assembly is the lower house of the Wisconsin Legislature. Together with the smaller Wisconsin Senate, the two constitute the legislative branch of the U.S. state of Wisconsin. The Assembly is controlled by the Republican Party, as it has been for 28 of the past 30 years (only 2009-2010 are exceptions). Members of the Assembly are elected to two-year terms during the fall elections. In the event of a vacancy in an Assembly seat between elections, a special election may be held to fill the position. Scott Kevin Walker (born November 2, 1967) is an American politician who served as the 45th governor of Wisconsin from 2011 to 2019. A member of the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party, he previously served as List of Milwaukee County executives, Milwaukee County executive from 2002 to 2010.
