2025–26 PWHL Season
The 2025–26 PWHL season is the upcoming third season of operation of the Professional Women's Hockey League. Eight teams will compete during the season. The inaugural six teams are located in Boston, Minnesota, Montreal, New York, Ottawa, and Toronto. They will be joined this season by expansion teams in Seattle and Vancouver. Professional Women's Hockey League
The Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL; , LPHF) is a women's professional ice hockey league in North America. The league comprises eight teams, four each from the United States and Canada. The teams play a Season (sports), regular season to earn one of four places in a Playoffs, postseason tournament that determines the winner of the Walter Cup. The PWHL is wholly owned and operated by the Mark Walter, Mark Walter Group. Meghan Turner
Meghan Turner (born August 7, 1994) is an American ice hockey executive and former player. She has served as general manager for PWHL Seattle of the Professional Women's Hockey League (PWHL) since May 2025. Turner previously served as assistant general manager for the Boston Fleet. During her career as a player, she was a forward for Quinnipiac University women's hockey from 2013 to 2017, a forward for the Worcester Blades in the Canadian Women's Hockey League and the PWHLPA. Early life and education Turner was born in Bedford, New Hampshire. Turner attended Phillips Exeter Academy in Exeter, New Hampshire, where she played ice hockey, lacrosse, and cross country. She was the team captain in the 2012-13 season, and finished her three-year career at Exeter with 102 points. Utica University Nexus Center
The Adirondack Bank Center at the Utica Memorial Auditorium is a 3,860-seat multi-purpose arena in Utica, New York, with a capacity of 5,700 for concerts. Nicknamed the Aud, it is the home arena of the Utica Comets, the AHL affiliate of the NHL's New Jersey Devils, and Utica City FC of the Major Arena Soccer League. Cara Morey
Cara Morey (''née'' Gardner; born July 31, 1978) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player, who is the general manager of the Vancouver PWHL team. From 2017 to 2025, she served as the head coach of Princeton University's women's team, the Tigers. She was an assistant coach of the Canada women's national under-18 team for the 2016–17 season. Before the appointment, she won gold as an assistant coach with Canada's national women's development team at the 2015 Nations Cup. Playing career Raised in Hensall, Ontario, Morey was a gold medalist with Canada's Under-22 team at the 2000 Nations Cup, contested in Füssen, Germany. Princeton Tigers Women's Ice Hockey
The Princeton Tigers women's ice hockey team represents Princeton University in the ECAC Hockey conference in the NCAA Division I women's ice hockey. They play at the Hobey Baker Memorial Rink. In the 2019–2020 season, they won their first ECAC championship, defeating #1 ranked Cornell by a score of 3–2 in overtime. History On November 24, 1979, the Princeton Tigers played their first varsity game against the University of Pennsylvania. In winter of 1982, Princeton would snap the Cornell Big Red women's ice hockey program's string of six straight Ivy League titles and go on to win Ivy League championships in 1983 and 1984 under head coach Bill Quackenbush. Courtney Birchard-Kessel
Courtney Birchard-Kessel (; born July 14, 1989) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and former player, currently serving as the head coach of the Princeton Tigers women's ice hockey team. During her playing career, she was a member of the Canadian national ice hockey team and was a three-time IIHF Women's World Championship medallist. Her debut with Team Canada was made at the 2010 Four Nations Cup. Birchard-Kessel was drafted 6th overall by the Brampton Thunder in the 2011 CWHL Draft. China Women's National Ice Hockey Team
The Chinese women's national ice hockey team () represents China at the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) IIHF Women's World Championship, Women's World Championship, the Asian Winter Games, and other international competitions. Brian Idalski (born January 23, 1971) is an American ice hockey coach, currently serving as head coach of the St. Cloud State Huskies women's ice hockey program in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) conference of the NCAA Division I. Ontario Hockey League
The Ontario Hockey League (OHL; ) is one of the three major junior ice hockey leagues which constitute the Canadian Hockey League, alongside the Western Hockey League and the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. The league is for players aged 16–20. There are currently 20 teams in the OHL: seventeen in Ontario, two in Michigan, and one in Pennsylvania.
