2025–26 Liga Nusantara
The 2025–26 Liga Nusantara (also known as the 2025–26 PNM Liga Nusantara for sponsorship reasons) will be the second season of the Liga Nusantara under its current name and the 10th season under its current league structure. The season is scheduled to begin on 27 September 2025 and conclude on 12 February 2026. This will be the first full season in which the home-and-away system is used throughout the entire competition, following its implementation only in the championship round in the previous season. Overview Promotion and relegation (pre-season) 24 teams will compete in the league – the seven teams from the previous season, nine teams relegated from the Liga 2 and eight teams promoted from Liga 4. Teams promoted to Liga 2 On 17 February 2025, Kendal Tornado (formerly Tornado Pekanbaru) became the first team to secure promotion to Liga 2 after defeating PSGC in matchweek 5 of Group X in the championship round. Liga Nusantara (English language, English: ''Archipelago League''), officially known as PNM Liga Nusantara for sponsorship reasons, is the third-tier of the Indonesian football league system, football competition system in Indonesia, organized by Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI). The competition started in 2014 after PSSI merged the previous competitions, Liga Indonesia Second Division and Liga Indonesia Third Division. The competition was previously organized in two phases, with the provincial phase operated by PSSI Provincial Associations, where each province held its own regional competition, followed by the national phase operated by PSSI, where the top teams from each province competed at the national level.
