2025 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships
The 2025 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships were held from 14 to 16 March 2025 at the Capital Indoor Stadium in Beijing, China. Schedule The Championships consisted of nine events: three individual events for men and women and three team events. Choi Min-jeong (; born 9 September 1998) is a South Korean short track speed skater. Courtney Lee Sarault (born April 24, 2000) is a Canadian Short track speed skating, short track speed skater. Career Junior Sarault competed at the 2015 Canada Winter Games, 2015 Canada Games at the age of 14. She placed 30th, 8th, and 7th in 500m, 1000m and 1500m, respectively, and won a silver medal in the 3000m relay. Hanne Desmet
Hanne Desmet (born 26 October 1996) is a Belgian short track speed skater. Biography Desmet was born in Wilrijk, lives in Mechelen, and is the older sister of short track speed skater Stijn Desmet. When Stijn was scouted by Pieter Gysel, Desmet started short track speed herself. Desmet is a three-time Belgian all-round champion, and in 2018, she became this by winning all individual distances. Moreover, she holds the Belgian records for all distances. At the 2019 European Championships, she took second place in the unofficial 3000m distance. Natalia Maliszewska (born 16 September 1995) is a Polish short track speed skater. She won silver medal at the 2018 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships and gold medal at the 2019 European Short Track Speed Skating Championships. Rikki Doak
Rikki Doak (born October 10, 1997) is a Canadian short track speed skater. She is a two-time world championships medallist after winning a gold medal as part of the women's relay team at the 2025 world championships, as well as a bronze medal in the women's 500 m. Career Doak represented New Brunswick at the 2015 Canada Winter Games where she helped the provincial team win a silver in the women's relay. She then began training at the Canada Regional Training Centre in Montreal with Speed Skating Canada before earning a spot on the national team in 2019.
