2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships
The 2025 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships (''2025 WJHC'') was the 49th edition of the IIHF World Junior Championship, Ice Hockey World Junior Championship, held from December 26, 2024 to January 5, 2025. The United States men's national junior ice hockey team, United States won their second consecutive championship, defeating Finland men's national junior ice hockey team, Finland 4–3 in overtime of the gold medal game. Top Division Background The tournament returned to Ottawa, which last hosted the 2009 World Junior Ice Hockey Championships, 2009 competition. This marked the 19th time that Canada hosted the WJC and fourth time in six years. Ottawa 67's
The Ottawa 67's are a major junior ice hockey team based in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, that plays in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). Established during Canada's centennial year of 1967 and named in honour of this, the 67's currently play their home games at TD Place Arena. Cole Eiserman (born August 29, 2006) is an American college ice hockey winger for Boston University of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). He was selected in the first round, 20th overall, by the New York Islanders in the 2024 NHL entry draft. Playing career Playing for Shattuck-Saint Mary's in the 2020–21 season, Eiserman scored 97 goals and 57 assists for 154 points in 50 games. Trevor Connelly (born February 28, 2006) is an American professional ice hockey left wing for the Henderson Silver Knights of the American Hockey League (AHL) while under contract to the Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League (NHL). Gabriel Perreault (born May 7, 2005) is a Canadian-born American professional ice hockey player for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 23rd overall by the Rangers in the 2023 NHL entry draft. He played college ice hockey at Boston College. James Hagens (born November 3, 2006) is an American college ice hockey centre for Boston College Eagles men's ice hockey, Boston College of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Nico Pertuch
Christa Päffgen (; 16 October 1938 – 18 July 1988), known by her stage name Nico, was a German singer, songwriter, actress, and model. Nico had roles in several films, including Federico Fellini's ''La Dolce Vita'' (1960) and Andy Warhol's ''Chelsea Girls'' (1966).
