The 2025 Volta a Catalunya was a road cycling stage race that took place between 24 and 30 March. It was the 104th edition of the Volta a Catalunya. 2025 UCI World Tour
The 2025 UCI World Tour is a series of races that includes thirty-six events throughout the 2025 in men's road cycling, 2025 cycling season. The tour started with the 2025 Tour Down Under, Tour Down Under on 21 January, and will conclude with the 2025 Tour of Guangxi, Tour of Guangxi on 19 October. Events The race calendar for the 2025 season was announced in June 2024, with thirty-six races scheduled. The calendar was similar to 2024 UCI World Tour, 2024, with a new one-day race in Denmark, the Copenhagen Sprint. In October 2024, the final calendar was confirmed. Teams The eighteen UCI WorldTeam, WorldTeams were automatically invited to compete in events, with the top two UCI ProTeams listed on the 2024 UCI World Ranking ( and ) also invited automatically. Banyoles
Banyoles () is a city of 20,168 inhabitants (2021) located in the province of Girona in northeastern Catalonia, Spain. The town is the capital of the Catalan ''comarca'' " Pla de l'Estany". Amposta () is the capital of the ''comarca'' of Montsià, in the province of Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain, 190 km south of Barcelona on the Mediterranean Coast. Montserrat (mountain)
Montserrat () is a multi-peaked mountain range near Barcelona, in Catalonia, Spain. It is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range. The main peaks are Sant Jeroni (1,236 m), Montgrós (1,120 m) and Les Agulles (903 m). It is the site of the Benedictine abbey, Santa Maria de Montserrat, which hosts the Virgin of Montserrat sanctuary. "Montserrat" literally means " serrated (like the common handsaw) mountain" in Catalan. It describes its peculiar aspect with a multitude of rock formations that are visible from a great distance. The mountain is composed of strikingly pink conglomerate, a form of sedimentary rock. Montserrat was designated as a National Park in 1987. The Monastery of Montserrat which houses the virgin that gives its name to the monastery is also on the mountain, although it is also known as ''La Moreneta'' ("the little tan/dark one" in Catalan). Sant Vicenç de Castellet () is a municipality in Bages county in Catalonia, Spain. It is situated near the confluence of the Llobregat river and the Cardener river. La Molina (ski Resort)
La Molina is a ski resort in the Pyrenees mountains of northeastern Spain, in the municipality of Alp in the ''comarca'' of Cerdanya in Girona, Catalonia. Together with Masella, it forms the Alp 2500 resort. It is the site of the first ski lift in Spain, opened on 28 February 1943, and Spain's first ski school, which opened a year later. It is served by a RENFE / Rodalies train station. Sport and recreation The area hosted World Cup alpine races in December 2008 (women's technical events) and hosted the Snowboarding World Championships in January 2011. In 2013 the resort hosted the 2013 IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships. New facilities such as a new track with a lift in the area of Pla d'Anyella have been built.
