2025 USF2000 Championship
The 2025 USF2000 Championship presented by Continental Tire is the sixteenth season of the U.S. F2000 National Championship, USF2000 Championship since its revival in 2010. The championship serves as the second rung of the IndyCar Series's USF Pro Championships ladder system. Series news * The scholarship for the champion was decreased by over $50,000 to $405,050. * The power output by the Elite Mazda engines on road and street circuits was increased, with a heightened Rev limiter, rev limit resulting in a power increase of 20 horsepower at the top end. The USF2000 Championship Presented by Continental Tire is an American racing series using an American variation of the Formula Ford standard, "F2000", that resumed operation for the 2010 season. As of 2022, it is sanctioned by the United States Auto Club, and operated by Andersen Promotions. It is the second rung of the Road to Indy. History Andersen/Foschi era The series was initially founded by Doug Powell in 1990, and regularly fielded over 60 entries per race. In the first seasons the series was mainly based in the western part of the United States sanctioned by the United States Auto Club. For 1992 the series started a Western Division and an Eastern Division, the Eastern Division being headed by Dan Andersen and Mike Foschi. Simon Sikes (born December 7, 2000) is an American racing driver. He currently competes in the USF2000 Championship with Pabst Racing. He is the 2023 USF2000 champion. Career USF2000 Championship Having competed in three part-time seasons of the USF2000 Championship from 2020 onwards, Sikes would complete a full season in the series in 2023 with Pabst Racing. Nicolas Reuter "Nic" Giaffone (born 6 October 2004) is a Brazilian racing driver. He most recently competed in the 2024 USF2000 Championship driving for DEForce Racing. Career USF Juniors On 5 January 2023, Giaffone competed in the 2023 USF Juniors driving for DEForce Racing. At the second race of the season at Sebring International Raceway, he would get his maiden win in the championship. Giaffone would also finish second in race 3 of the first round. At the second round at Barber Motorsports Park, Giaffone would take pole for both races. He would go on to dominate and win both races, resulting in him taking the championship lead. Max Taylor (born October 1, 2007) is an American racing driver who competes in the 2025 Indy NXT with HMD Motorsports, and the 2025 USF Pro 2000 Championship with Velocity Racing Development. 2024 Ligier JS F4 Series
The 2024 Ligier JS F4 Series is the inaugural season of the Ligier JS F4 Series. The series was founded from the ashes of the Formula Development series, which served as a feeder into the United States Formula 4 Championship, but suffered chronically low grid numbers. The series is sanctioned by Parella Motorsports Holdings. The series was created for teams and drivers to utilize the first-generation Ligier JS F4 chassis with Honda engines that lost their homologation after the 2023 season as a development series when the United States Formula 4 Championship switched to the new generation Ligier JS F422 chassis with Ligier Storm engines that complied with newer Formula 4 regulations. HMD Motorsports is an American racing team in the Indy NXT series. The team is owned by Henry Malukas. Indy NXT (2019–present) 2019 The origins of HMD Motorsports traces back to BN Racing's Indy Lights operation as the team had entered the 2019 Indy Lights series. David Malukas ran for the team in 2019 with a limited budget. Toby Sowery won the Sunday race at Portland for HMD Motorsports/ Team Pelfrey.
