2025 USC Trojans Baseball Team
The 2025 USC Trojans baseball team will represent the University of Southern California (USC) during the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. Due to Dedeaux Field being renovated the Trojans played their home games OC Great Park Baseball Complex, and Page Stadium in Los Angeles. The team will be coached by Andy Stankiewicz in his 3rd season at USC. Previous season The Trojans ended the 2024 season with a record of 17–12 in conference play and 31–28 overall record good for 4th place in the Pac-12. They would play in the Pac-12 tournament as the #4 Seed on Pool C in Game 1 they would beat Utah and then in Game 2 would beat Oregon they would play in the Semifinals beating #6 seed California and then they would play in the Championship Game against #1 seed Arizona but would lose to Arizona and would end their season after not being accepted into the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. Andy Stankiewicz
Andrew Neal Stankiewicz (born August 10, 1964) is an American former professional baseball player who currently serves as the head coach of the USC Trojans baseball team in Los Angeles. He also played in Major League Baseball as a middle-infielder. Stankiewicz had a seven-year MLB playing career spanning four clubs and 429 appearances. He was drafted by the New York Yankees in the 1986 draft and went on to make his MLB debut with the club in 1992. He also played for the Houston Astros and Montreal Expos before closing out his career with the Arizona Diamondbacks during their inaugural season in 1998. Following his playing career, Stankiewicz worked in the Yankees organization including serving as the manager of the Staten Island Yankees in 2003 and 2005, a roving infield instructor in 2004, and as a scout in 2006. Catcher
Catcher is a position in baseball and softball. When a batter takes their turn to hit, the catcher crouches behind home plate, in front of the (home) umpire, and receives the ball from the pitcher. In addition to this primary duty, the catcher is also called upon to master many other skills in order to field the position well. The role of the catcher is similar to that of the wicket-keeper in cricket. Positioned behind home plate and facing toward the outfield, the catcher can see the whole field, and is therefore in the best position to direct and lead the other players in a defensive play. The catcher typically calls for pitches using PitchCom, or hand signals. The calls are based on the pitcher's mechanics and strengths, as well as the batter's tendencies and weaknesses. Goodwin Field is a 3,500-seat baseball park in the western United States, located in Fullerton, California. On the campus of California State University, Fullerton, it is primarily the home field of the four-time national champion CSUF Titans of the NCAA's Big West Conference. Reckling Park
Reckling Park is the baseball stadium at Rice University in Houston, Texas, US. It serves as the home field of the Rice Owls baseball team. The stadium was built on the site of Cameron Field, Rice's home from 1978 to 1999, in time for the 2000 season. The Owls have hosted 10 NCAA regional and five super regional tournaments at Reckling Park, including one of each in their national championship season of 2003 and in the years of other College World Series appearances, 2002, 2006, 2007, and 2008. The 2025 UC Irvine Anteaters baseball team represent the University of California, Irvine during the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Anteaters will play their home games at Cicerone Field as a member of the Big West Conference. They are led by head coach Ben Orloff, in his seventh season as manager. This is the first year since 1998 the Big West Conference will have a postseason tournament, and the Anteaters finished as the runner-up, falling to Cal Poly back-to-back. The Anteaters were one of four mid-major teams to receive an at-large bid, where they were subsequently placed in the Los Angeles regional, hosted by UCLA.
