Andrew Checketts
Andrew Checketts (born October 8, 1975) is an American college baseball coach and former player. He currently is the head coach of the UC Santa Barbara Gauchos baseball, UC Santa Barbara Gauchos. Playing career Checketts graduated from West Linn High School in West Linn, Oregon and was named 1994 Oregon State High School Player of the Year. He then played one season at Florida Gators baseball, Florida before transferring to Oregon State Beavers baseball, Oregon State for his remaining three years. In his final year with the Beavers, he posted an 11–1 record, earning conference and national honors and a 21st round selection by the Boston Red Sox in the 1998 Major League Baseball Draft. He played briefly in the Red Sox system at the end of 1998, then played for the Independent Tri-City Posse for one season before turning to coaching. Riverside Sports Complex
The Riverside Sports Complex, in Riverside, California, is the home field of the University of California, Riverside baseball team. The stadium seats 2,500 and features a home team locker room built personally by Troy Percival, a UC Riverside alumnus. A statue of the UCR Bear in concrete just inside the entrance to the facility was erected in 2007. The stadium also has a pair of hitting cages located underneath the grandstands. Moraga is a town in Contra Costa County, California, United States. Located in the San Francisco Bay Area, the town is named in honor of Joaquín Moraga, member of the famed Californio family. As of 2020, Moraga had a total population of 16,870 people. Moraga is the home of Saint Mary's College of California. Louis Guisto Field
Louis Guisto Field is a baseball venue in Moraga, California, USA. It is home to the Saint Mary's Gaels baseball team of the NCAA Division I West Coast Conference. Opened in 2012, the venue replaced the old Louis Guisto Field (the location of which was behind the third base line of the new facility) as the home of Saint Mary's baseball. Like the old facility, it is named for former Saint Mary's baseball player and coach Louis Guisto. The field opened on February 17, 2012, when Saint Mary's defeated Southern Utah 2–1 in front of 1,100 fans. Former Major League pitcher Tom Candiotti (Saint Mary's Class of 1979) threw out the honorary first pitch. Following the 2012 season, construction on the facility will enter its second phase. The 2025 UC Irvine Anteaters baseball team represent the University of California, Irvine during the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Anteaters will play their home games at Cicerone Field as a member of the Big West Conference. They are led by head coach Ben Orloff, in his seventh season as manager. This is the first year since 1998 the Big West Conference will have a postseason tournament, and the Anteaters finished as the runner-up, falling to Cal Poly back-to-back. The Anteaters were one of four mid-major teams to receive an at-large bid, where they were subsequently placed in the Los Angeles regional, hosted by UCLA. They ended up losing in the regional final to UCLA 5-8, failing to improve upon their 2024 record.
