2025 Transylvania Open
The 2025 Transylvania Open was a women's tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the fifth edition of the Transylvania Open, and part of the WTA 250 series of the 2025 WTA Tour. Cluj-Napoca
Cluj-Napoca ( ; ), or simply Cluj ( , ), is a city in northwestern Romania. It is the second-most populous city in the country and the seat of Cluj County. Geographically, it is roughly equidistant from Bucharest (), Budapest () and Belgrade (). Anhelina Serhiyivna Kalinina ( ; born 7 February 1997) is a Ukrainian professional tennis player. On 22 May 2023, she reached her career-high WTA singles ranking of No. 25. She peaked at No. 92 in the doubles rankings in January 2025. She has won one singles title on the WTA Challenger Tour, as well as 15 titles in singles and three in doubles on the ITF Circuit. Daria Serhiivna Snigur (; born 27 March 2002) is a Ukrainian professional tennis player. She has a career-high WTA ranking of world No. 105 in singles, achieved on 14 November 2022. Snigur has won seven singles titles at tournaments of the ITF Women's Circuit. Ella Seidel
Ella Luise Seidel (born 14 February 2005) is a German professional tennis player. She has a career-high WTA singles ranking of world No. 109, achieved on 9 June 2025, and a best doubles ranking of No. 190, attained on 23 September 2024. Junior career Seidel was born in Hamburg, Germany and attended the Sportgymnasium Alter Teichweg school there, where she was able to graduate high school two years early at the age of 17, allowing her to focus on her tennis career. Francesca Jones (born 19 September 2000) is a British professional tennis player. She has a career-high singles ranking of No. 113 by the WTA achieved on 19 May 2025. Anna Bondár (born 27 May 1997) is a Hungarian tennis player. She has career-high WTA rankings of No. 50 in singles, achieved on 18 July 2022, and No. 43 in doubles, achieved on 30 January 2023. Elena-Gabriela Ruse (born 6 November 1997) is a Romanian professional tennis player. A wild card (also wildcard or wild-card and also known as an at-large berth or at-large bid) is an invitation to a tournament or a playoff berth awarded to a team or individual that does not qualify via an automatic bid. In some events, wildcards are chosen freely by the organizers. Other events have fixed rules.
