2025 Texas Longhorns Baseball Team
The 2025 Texas Longhorns baseball team represented the University of Texas at Austin during the 2025 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Longhorns played their home games at UFCU Disch–Falk Field as a member of the Southeastern Conference. They were led by first year head coach Jim Schlossnagle. Jim Schlossnagle
Jim Schlossnagle (born August 12, 1970) is an American college baseball coach and former pitcher, who is the current head baseball coach of the Texas Longhorns baseball, Texas Longhorns. He played college baseball at Elon Phoenix baseball, Elon from 1986 to 1989 for head coach Rick Jones (baseball coach), Rick Jones. He then served as the head coach of the UNLV Rebels baseball, UNLV Rebels (2002–2003), the TCU Horned Frogs baseball, TCU Horned Frogs (2004–2021), and the Texas A&M Aggies baseball, Texas A&M Aggies (2022–2024). Schlossnagle was named National Coach of the Year by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association in 2010 and by Baseball America in 2016, and has won eight conference Coach of the Year awards in his 16-year head coaching career. Godley is a city in northwestern Johnson County, Texas, United States, in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. It is on Texas State Highway 171, Farm Roads 2331 and 917, and the tracks of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway northwest of Cleburne. The population was 1,450 in 2020, up from 1,009 in 2010. An outfielder is a person playing in one of the three defensive positions in baseball or softball, farthest from the batter. These defenders are the left fielder, the center fielder, and the right fielder. An infielder is a baseball player stationed at one of four defensive "infield" positions on the baseball field, between first base and third base.
