2025 Slovak Protests
Widespread demonstrations, involving tens of thousands of Slovak citizens mobilizing across Slovakia, have been taking place, primarily to protest Prime Minister of Slovakia Robert Fico's pro-Russia policies. The demonstrations, organized by Peace for Ukraine, have taken place in 28 different areas throughout the country. In political science, the waves of democracy or waves of democratization are major surges of democracy that have occurred in history. Although the term appears at least as early as 1887, it was popularized by Samuel P. Richard Raši
Richard Raši (born 2 April 1971 in Košice) is a Slovak physician and politician who served as Slovakia's Deputy Prime Minister for Investments and Information. A member of the Voice – Social Democracy () political party, Raši previously served as Mayor of the city of Košice. He also served from 3 June 2008 until 8 June 2010 as Minister of Health in the Fico's First Cabinet, First cabinet of Robert Fico. Rudolf Huliak (born 5 May 1975) is a Slovak politician serving as minister of tourism and sports since 2025. From 2023 to 2025, he was a member of the National Council. Early life Rudolf Huliak was born on 5 May 1975 in Očová. He studied economics of transportation at the University of Žilina. After graduation he started a car paining business in Očová. He has also been active as a representative of hunting organizations. Samuel Migaľ (born 30 June 1982) is a Slovak politician and former TV host. He has served as the minister of Investment, Regional Development and Informatics of Slovakia since 2025. Fico's Fourth Cabinet is the incumbent government of Slovakia.
