2025 SaskTel Tankard
The 2025 SaskTel Tankard, the provincial men's curling championship for Saskatchewan, was held from January 21 to 26 at the Kindersley West Central Events Centre in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. The winning Rylan Kleiter represented Saskatchewan at the 2025 Montana's Brier in Kelowna, British Columbia. The event was held in conjunction with the 2025 Viterra Prairie Pinnacle, the provincial women's championship. This is the first time that both the men's and women's provincial championships have been held in conjunction. With the reduction of the number of teams from 12 to 9, the round robin portion will now be a single round robin instead of two pools of six teams that was used the 2024 SaskTel Tankard, previous year with the top four teams advancing to the page playoff. Kindersley
Kindersley is a town surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Kindersley No. 290 in west-central Saskatchewan, Canada. It is located along Highway 7, a primary highway linking Calgary, Alberta and Saskatoon, at its junction with Highway 21. With a population of 4,567 in 2021, it is an established industrial base for the resource-rich west-central region of the province and a service centre to the oil and gas industry and agriculture production. Martensville
Martensville is a city located in Saskatchewan, Canada, just north of Saskatoon, west of the city of Warman and southwest of Clarkboro Ferry which crosses the South Saskatchewan River. It is a bedroom community of Saskatoon. It is surrounded by the Rural Municipality of Corman Park No. 344. Charley M. Thomas (born April 4, 1986 in Victoria, British Columbia) is a Canadian curler from Calgary who currently skips his own rink on the World Curling Tour. Curling career Thomas started his career with an Alberta Provincial Junior title in 2004 and made his debut on the national and international curling scene representing Alberta and winning the 2006 Canadian Junior Curling Championships (Thunder Bay, Ontario) and 2006 World Junior Curling Championships (Jeonju, Korea). Steve Laycock
Stephen Laycock (born October 29, 1982) is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon. He currently skips his own team out of Swift Current. Career In 2003, Laycock skipped Team Saskatchewan to a Canadian Junior Curling Championship and a World Junior Curling Championship. Until 2007 he tried repeatedly to skip a team to the provincial men's championship in 2004, 2005 and 2006, but was unsuccessful in all of his attempts. In 2006 he joined up with Pat Simmons as his lead, and finally won a provincial championship with him in 2007. He would win again in 2008 and once more in 2011, this time throwing third stones and calling the game for Simmons. Simmons left the team at the end of the 2010–11 season, leaving Laycock to find a replacement third. Laycock announced the addition of Joel Jordison to his team for the 2011–2012 season.
