The 2025 Philippine local elections in the Davao Region are scheduled to be held on May 12, 2025. Davao City Mayor of Davao City Incumbent Sebastian Duterte (Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod) is running for vice mayor of Davao City. He was elected under Hugpong ng Pagbabago with 89.30% of the vote in 2022. Vice Mayor of Davao City Incumbent J. Melchor Quitain Jr. (Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod) is running for the Davao City Council in the 1st councilor district. He was elected unopposed in 2022. Local elections in the Philippines will take place on May 12, 2025. These will be conducted together with the 2025 general election for national positions. All elected positions above the barangay level will be contested. Davao del Norte's 2nd congressional district is one of the two congressional districts of the Philippines in the province of Davao del Norte. It has been represented in the House of Representatives since 1987. The district covers the western and coastal areas of the province, namely the cities of Panabo and Samal, and the municipalities of Braulio E. Dujali, Carmen and Santo Tomas. Prior to redistricting in 1998, the district covered parts of what is now the province of Davao de Oro, as well as the capital, Tagum, in what is now the 1st district. The Davao del Norte Provincial Board is the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (provincial legislature) of the Philippine province of Davao del Norte. The members are elected via plurality-at-large voting: the province is divided into two districts, each having five seats. A voter votes up to five names, with the top five candidates per district being elected. The vice governor is the ''ex officio'' presiding Davao del Norte Provincial Board, and only votes to break ties. The vice governor is elected via the plurality voting system province-wide. Pantaleon Diaz Alvarez (born January 10, 1958) is a Filipino politician serving as the Representative of Davao del Norte's 1st district since 2016, previously holding the position from 1998 to 2001. He served as the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2016 to 2018. He also served as the Secretary of Transportation and Communications in the Cabinet of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo from 2001 to 2002.
