2025 Philippine Local Elections In Eastern Visayas
The 2025 Philippine local elections in Eastern Visayas are scheduled to be held on May 12, 2025. Biliran Governor of Biliran Incumbent Gerard Espina (Nacionalista Party) is retiring. Espina was elected with 89.21% of the vote in 2022. Vice Governor of Biliran Incumbent Kokoy Caneja (Lakas–CMD) is running for the Biliran Provincial Board in the 1st provincial district. Caneja was re-elected under the Nacionalista Party unopposed in 2022. Biliran Provincial Board Following the reclassification of Biliran as a 2nd class province in 2025, the number of elected members in the Biliran Provincial Board increased from 8 to 10, which also increased the total number of board members from 11 to 13. All elected positions above the barangay level will be contested. The Alliance for Barangay Concerns (abbreviated ABC) is a political party in the Philippines. It is accredited by the Commission on Elections as a party-list group.
