2025 NBA Draft
The 2025 NBA draft will be the 79th edition of the National Basketball Association's annual draft. Like the 2024 draft, this draft will take place over two nights. The draft will consist of 59 picks as opposed to the full 60 picks due to the New York Knicks losing a second round pick from a free agency violation in 2022. The first round of the draft will take place on June 25, 2025, while the second round will take place on June 26. Both rounds will be held at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. The time between second-round picks will remain four minutes, a change that was made from the previous year's draft. Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. NCAA Division I
NCAA Division I (D-I) is the highest level of intercollegiate athletics sanctioned by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) in the United States, which accepts players globally. D-I schools include the major collegiate athletic powers, with large budgets, more elaborate facilities and more athletic scholarships than Divisions II and III as well as many smaller schools committed to the highest level of intercollegiate competition. The Portland Trail Blazers (colloquially known as the Blazers) are an American professional basketball team based in Portland, Oregon. New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans are an American professional basketball team based in New Orleans. The Charlotte Hornets are an American professional basketball team based in Charlotte, North Carolina.
