2025 MLS Next Pro Season
The 2025 MLS Next Pro season is the fourth season of MLS Next Pro, the second-tier league of Major League Soccer. North Texas SC are the defending league and regular season champions. Teams Stadiums and locations Personnel and sponsorship Regular season During the regular season, teams will play 28 matches each in a mostly regionalized schedule. Each conference was divided into divisions of seven or eight teams for scheduling. Top eight teams in each conference will qualify for the playoffs. MLS Next Pro (MLSNP) is a men's professional association football, soccer league in the United States and Canada that is affiliated with Major League Soccer (MLS). It launched in 2022 with 21 teams and now comprises 27 reserve sides of MLS clubs and 2 independent clubs. MLS Next Pro is classified as part of the third tier of the United States soccer league system. History On June 21, 2021, Major League Soccer announced the creation of a new professional league which would begin play in 2022. Truist Point is a stadium located in High Point, North Carolina and is home to the High Point Rockers of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball and to Carolina Core FC of the MLS NEXT Pro league. Austin FC II is an American professional soccer team that is located in Austin, Texas. It is the reserve team of Austin FC and participates in MLS Next Pro. History On August 4, 2022, Austin FC was named as one of seven MLS clubs that would field a team in MLS Next Pro league beginning in the 2023 season. 2024 MLS Next Pro Season
The 2024 MLS Next Pro season is the third season of MLS Next Pro, the second-tier league of Major League Soccer. It began March 15 and concluded on October 6. Austin FC II and the Colorado Rapids 2 are the defending playoff and regular season champions, respectively. Two independent clubs, Carolina Core FC and Chattanooga FC began play in the league. Portland Timbers 2 is an American professional soccer team based in Portland, Oregon. The team, often referred to as "T2", serves as the reserve squad for the Portland Timbers of Major League Soccer (MLS).
