2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge
The 2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge is the tenth season of the Intercontinental GT Challenge. For the first time since 2019 Intercontinental GT Challenge, 2019, the series returns to five rounds starting with the Bathurst 12 Hour on 2 February with the finale at Indianapolis 8 Hour on 18 October. Calendar The provisional calendar was released on July 28, 2024, at the SRO Motorsports Group, SRO's annual press conference, including 5 rounds. On August 6, 2024, the calendar was officialized, the date of Suzuka round was revealed and the date of Indianapolis round was pushed back two weeks. Intercontinental GT Challenge
The Intercontinental GT Challenge is a sports car racing series developed by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation, SRO Group in 2016. It consists of international Endurance racing (motorsport), endurance races for grand tourer racing cars complying with the FIA's Group GT3, GT3 regulations. Format The series is aimed at manufacturers. Instead of fielding their own cars, manufacturers can appoint and support local teams in selected events to gain points. Four manufacturers took part in the inaugural series in 2016 Intercontinental GT Challenge, 2016: Audi, Bentley, McLaren Automotive, McLaren and Mercedes-Benz, Mercedes. The BMW M4 is a high-performance version of the BMW 4 Series automobile developed by BMW's motorsport division, BMW M, that has been built since 2014. W Racing Team (known as Team WRT) is a Belgium, Belgian auto racing team founded in 2009 by engineer and former head of Volkswagen Motorsport René Verbist, racing driver Vincent Vosse, and entrepreneur Yves Weerts. 2025 Suzuka 1000 Km
The 2025 Suzuka 1000 km is a planned endurance event that is set to take place on 14 September 2025, at the Suzuka Circuit in Suzuka, Japan. It will be the 49th edition of the Suzuka 1000km, and the fourth round of the 2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge. The event returns after five years off due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the 2024 SRO press conference at Spa-Francorchamps, Stephane Ratel announced that the Suzuka 1000km will return the following September as part of the 2025 Intercontinental GT Challenge season. The date was officially confirmed by Japan Automobile Federation (JAF), with the event taking place on 12–14 September.
