Television In Spain
Television in Spain was introduced in 1956, when the national state-owned public service television broadcaster Televisión Española (TVE) started regular analog free-to-air terrestrial black and white broadcasts. Colour transmissions started in 1972 after two years of test transmissions, with all programming transmitted in color in 1977, and colour commercials starting in 1978. TVE held a monopoly on television broadcasting until regional public channels were launched during the 1980s and commercial television started nationwide in 1990. Digital terrestrial television was launched on 30 November 2005 with analog service discontinued on 3 April 2010. Currently, television is one of the leading mass media of the country, and by 2008 was in 99.7% of households in Spain according to INE statistics. ''Asuntos internos'' is a Spanish police thriller television series created by Pedro García Ríos and Rodrigo Martín Antoranz. The cast is led by Laia Manzanares. Plot Set in 1979 in a police station of Vallecas against the backdrop of the onset of the heroin epidemics, the plot follows Clara Montesinos, a member of the first promotion of female police agents. Cast Production Formerly known under the working title of ''Demokracia'' and created by Pedro García Ríos and Rodrigo Martín Antoranz, the series is a RTVE, Mediacrest, and Mediacrest El Clásico AIE production. Shooting locations included Vallecas and Carabanchel. Release The series receive a pre-screening at the Cádiz-based South International Series Festival in October 2024. It will debut on La 1 on 12 February 2025. The original broadcast run wrapped on 12 March 2025. Ernesto Alterio
Ernesto Federico Alterio Bacaicoa (born 25 September 1970) is an Argentine-Spanish film, theatre, and television actor. Early life Alterio is the son of psychologist Modesta Ángela Bacaicoa Destéfano and actor Héctor Alterio Onorato. His younger sister Malena is also dedicated to acting. He is of Italian descent, his grandparents were originally from Carpinone, a commune in the province of Isernia, in the Molise region. After the coup in Argentina that took place very shortly after the birth of Malena, his father Héctor Alterio was threatened by Triple A, so the family went into exile and settled in Spain between 1974 and 1975 (where he was working at the time), years later he obtained Spanish nationality. Anna Castillo Ferré (born 9 October 1993) is a Spanish actress. From 2013 to 2016, she played Dorita in soap opera ''Amar es para siempre''. Her film breakthrough came with the role of Alma in the drama ''El Olivo'' (2016) for which she won a Goya Award for Best New Actress. Biography Anna Castillo Ferré was born in Barcelona on 9 October 1993. ''Su majestad'' is a Spanish comedy television series created by Borja Cobeaga and Diego San José which stars Anna Castillo and Ernesto Alterio. The series premiered on 27 February 2025. Plot Spain. 2024. After a scandal involving Alfonso XVI damages the monarchy's reputation, the king takes a temporary backseat and his daughter and heir apparent to the throne of Spain, irresponsible princess Pilar, takes over the monarchic institution to show that she is up to the task. José Mota (comedian)
José Sánchez Mota (born 30 June 1965), better known as José Mota, is a Spanish comedian and actor. He was member, with Juan Muñoz, of the comedy duo '' Cruz y Raya'' between 1989 and 2007, and later he started a solo career. Cruz y Raya In 1985, while he was serving in the military, Mota met Juan Muñoz, whom he began his career as a comedian. The two started performing shows at small theaters in Madrid, such as ''Cien personajes en busca de humor'' (''One Hundred Characters in the Quest of Humor''), but it was Javier Sardá who gave them the opportunity of making their own radio show, ''La Bisagra''. In 1989 they moved to television with the program '' Pero ¿esto qué es?'', in the Spanish public channel ( La 1). Movistar Plus+ (formerly Movistar+) is the trade name of the subscription platform for digital television owned by Telefónica, which operates in Spain. The service is distributed via optical fiber and ADSL and as well as with satellites such as Astra. The platform, which was officially launched on July 8, 2015, stems from the merger of Canal+ and Movistar TV. It is the largest subscription television provider in Spain with 3,7 million customers and 45% of market share.
