2025 Grand Slam Track Kingston
The 2025 Kingston Slam was an outdoor track and field meeting held from 4–6 April 2025 in The National Stadium, Kingston, Jamaica. It was the inaugural meet of the 2025 Grand Slam Track season, the debut season of Michael Johnson's Grand Slam Track league. The city was confirmed as the first Grand Slam Track leg on 11 November 2024. It was the second of four cities to be announced, after the Los Angeles Slam was announced as part of the league's launch. A full field of 96 athletes from 20 countries to compete at the meet was announced on 13 March, though ten scratches and replacements were announced on 31 March. The meeting offered US$100,000 of prize money for the winners of each of six men's and six women's event groups, in addition to appearance fees and league salaries. Gabrielle Lisa Thomas (born December 7, 1996) is an American track and field athlete specializing in 100 and 200 meter sprint who is the 2024 200 m Olympic champion. Born in Georgia and raised in Massachusetts, Thomas competed in college for Harvard University before beginning a professional track career in 2018. Thomas also has a master of public health degree in epidemiology. At the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, she won the bronze medal in the 200 m and a silver as part of the women's 4 × 100 m relay. Fredrick Lee Kerley ( ; born May 7, 1995) is an American track and field sprinter. He was the Olympic silver medalist over 100 m at the 2020 Olympics and bronze medalist at the 2024 Olympics in the same event. Courtney Lindsey (born November 18, 1998) is an American track and field athlete who competes as a sprinter. Early life Born and raised in Rock Island, Illinois, he attended Rock Island High School. He used to train at a boxing gym in the Quad Cities operated by his step father. Lindsey began his collegiate career at Iowa Central Community College. In July 2019, he signed a letter of intent to transfer to Texas Tech University. Ackeem Blake (born January 21, 2002) is a Jamaican sprinter. Blake came fourth in the 4 x 100 metres relay at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Career In 2022, Blake competed at the Music City Track Carnival in Nashville, he ran a big personal best of 9.92s in the 100 m. However, World Athletics deemed the time to be unofficial and therefore it was not ratified. The shortest common outdoor running distance, the dash is one of the most popular and prestigious events in the sport of athletics. Grant Jackson Fisher (born April 22, 1997) is an American middle- and long-distance runner who is the world record holder in the short track 3000 m and 5000 m.
