2025 Chicago Sky Season
The 2025 Chicago Sky season is the franchise's 20th season in the Women's National Basketball Association, and their first season under head coach Tyler Marsh, who was hired on November 3, 2024. On May 18, 2025, the WNBA announced they had opened an investigation regarding, "allegations of inappropriate fan conduct" directed at Chicago Sky players occurring their May 17 season opener at the Indiana Fever. Sky head coach, Tyler Marsh, told the press that he and his team did not report or witness any misconduct while at Gainbridge Fieldhouse and only learned about the allegations after the game had concluded. Nine days later, the WNBA announced their investigation was complete, and all allegations of racist fan behavior were unsubstantiated. WNBA Eastern Conference
The Eastern Conference is one of two conferences that make up the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA), the other being the Western Conference (WNBA), Western Conference. The Eastern conference consists on 6 teams whereas with the addition of Golden State Valkyries from 2025 season , Western conference will consist on 7 teams. From the league's second season in 1998 through 2015, the WNBA operated separate playoff brackets for its Eastern and Western Conference (WNBA), Western Conferences. Each conference's playoff was divided into two playoff rounds, the Conference Semi-Finals and the Conference Finals, with the Conference Finals winners receiving Conference Championships and advancing to the WNBA Finals to determine the WNBA champion. Notre Dame Fighting Irish Women's Basketball
The Notre Dame Fighting Irish women's basketball team is the intercollegiate women's basketball program representing University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana. The program currently competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference of NCAA Division I. The Fighting Irish play their home games in the Purcell Pavilion at the Edmund P. Joyce Center, and are currently coached by Niele Ivey. 2025 Connecticut Sun Season
The 2025 Connecticut Sun season will be the 27th season for the Connecticut Sun franchise of the Women's National Basketball Association and the first under head coach, Rachid Meziane. After the loss of head coach Stephanie White and the entire 2024 starting lineup in the offseason, Marina Mabrey made a request to be traded. However, Sun president Jennifer Rizzotti informed the media that they did not intend to honor Mabrey's request and rather plan "to build around her, have her here, have her be the catalyst for what we want to do offensively." Rebecca Kate "Bec" Allen (born 6 November 1992) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). Allen was a member of the Australian Women's basketball team (Opals) at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The Opals were eliminated after losing to the USA in the quarterfinals. Aaron Johnson (basketball)
Aaron Westley Johnson (born October 27, 1988) is an American professional basketball player for Stal Ostrów Wielkopolski of the Polish Basketball League. He played college basketball for UAB. As a senior in 2010–11, he led NCAA Division I in assists with 7.70 per game. In addition, he was named Conference USA Men's Basketball Player of the Year. David Simon (basketball)
David Joseph Simon (born August 9, 1982) is an American professional basketball player. He played his collegiate basketball for IPFW. College career In his first year as a college player, he averaged 10.6 points per game and 5.8 rebounds. At the end of the year he injured his left knee and went for surgery, but fully recovered for the next season. Before the second season at IPFW, he was ranked as the nation's second-best college center, behind Emeka Okafor of Connecticut. He was named "Pre-Season Independent Player of the Year". Tanisha Lovely Wright (born November 29, 1983) is an American professional basketball coach and former player who is an assistant coach for the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). She played college basketball at Penn State. During her junior season, Wright helped led her team to the Elite Eight, where they fell to the eventual national champion, Connecticut. She ranks fourth in school history in points scored with 1,995 points in 134 career games. She was selected 12th overall in the 2005 WNBA draft by the Seattle Storm. Wright played in the WNBA for 14 seasons with the Storm, New York Liberty and Minnesota Lynx. Wright began her coaching career as an assistant coach at Charlotte while still playing in the WNBA.
