2025 Chevron Championship
The 2025 Chevron Championship was the 54th Chevron Championship LPGA golf tournament, held April 24–27, at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas. The tournament was in its fourth year with Chevron Corporation as the title sponsor and its 43rd year as a major championship. Mao Saigo, 2024 LPGA Rookie of the Year, won her first LPGA Tour event and first major championship in a five-way sudden-death playoff. Mao Saigo
(born 8 October 2001) is a Japanese professional golfer. She plays on the LPGA of Japan Tour where she won three of the first five tournaments of the 2022 season, and the LPGA Tour. Career Saigo was born in Funabashi in Greater Tokyo and won the Japan Women's Amateur Championship in 2019. She turned professional and joined the LPGA of Japan Tour in 2020. In 2021, she was runner-up seven times to finish 4th on the 2020–21 money list. In the 2022 season, she recorded three wins and two second place finishes in the first six tournaments, after which she rose to 18th in the Women's World Golf Rankings. Saigo finished second at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament in 2023 to earn her LPGA Tour card for 2024. Brittany Grace Lincicome (born September 19, 1985) is an American professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour. She currently resides in Gulfport, Florida. Allisen Corpuz (born March 20, 1998) is an American professional golfer and member of the LPGA Tour. She won the 2023 U.S. Women's Open at Pebble Beach. Chun In-gee (, born 10 August 1994), also known as In Gee Chun, is a South Korean professional golfer. She was born in Gunsan, North Jeolla Province. Ashleigh Ann Buhai (née Simon, born 11 May 1989) is a South African professional golfer who won the 2022 Women's Open, one of the major championships in women's golf. Amateur career Buhai had a successful amateur career. She was the youngest player to win the ladies’ South African Amateur Stroke Play and Match Play double. She represented her country in the mainly professional Women's World Cup of Golf three times while still an amateur. Professional career Buhai turned professional the day after her 18th birthday. Céline Boutier (born 10 November 1993) is a French professional golfer who plays on the Ladies European Tour and the LPGA Tour. She has multiple wins on both tours including one major, the 2023 Evian Championship. The Evian Championship
The Evian Championship, currently known for sponsorship reasons as The Amundi Evian Championship, is a women's professional golf tournament in France, played at the Evian Resort Golf Club in Évian-les-Bains. It was originally held in June, moved to July in 2003, and moved again to September in 2013. It returned to a July date in 2019. Founded in 1994 on the Ladies European Tour (LET) as the Evian Masters, it is one of two major championships on the LET. Not originally a major on the LPGA Tour, it became an LPGA co-sanctioned event in 2000, which included a significant increase in purse size. Women's British Open
The Women's Open (originally known as the Women's British Open, and still widely referred to by that name outside the UK) is a major championship in women's professional golf. It is recognised by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. The reigning champion is Lydia Ko, who won at the 2024 tournament. The Women's PGA Championship (branded as the KPMG Women's PGA Championship for sponsorship reasons) is a women's professional golf tournament. First held in 1955, it is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour. It is not recognized as a major by the Ladies European Tour, which does not recognize any of the three majors played in the United States. Ryu So-yeon (; ; born 29 June 1990), also known as So Yeon Ryu, is a South Korean professional golfer who plays on the LPGA Tour and on the LPGA of Korea Tour. Lilia Kha-Tu Du Vu (born October 14, 1997) is an American professional golfer and LPGA Tour player. In 2023, she rose to number one in the Women's World Golf Rankings and became LPGA Tour Player of the Year after winning four titles, including two Women's major golf championships, majors at the 2023 Chevron Championship and 2023 Women's British Open.
