2025 ACB Playoffs
The 2025 ACB Playoffs, also known as 2025 Liga Endesa Playoffs for sponsorship reasons, is the postseason tournament of the ACB's 2024–25 season, which began on 28 September 2024. The playoffs started on June 2 and will end at the latest on June 30. Real Madrid is the defending champion. Format At the end of the regular season, the eight teams with the most wins qualify for the playoffs. The seedings are based on each team's record. The bracket is fixed; there is no reseeding. The quarterfinals are best-of-three series; the team that wins two games advances to the next round. This round is in a 1–1–1 format. From the semifinals onward, the rounds are best-of-five series; the team that wins three games advances to the next round. These rounds, including the Finals, are in a 2–2–1 format. Markus Howard
Markus Anthony Howard (born March 3, 1999) is an American professional basketball player for Saski Baskonia of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. He played college basketball for the Marquette Golden Eagles, where he was a two-time All-American and led the nation in scoring in the 2019–20 season. High school career Howard began his high school career at Perry High School in Gilbert, Arizona. As a freshman, he started in the backcourt with his brother and averaged 23 points per game, leading his team to the state semifinals. He committed to Arizona State following his freshman season. 1988–89 ACB Season
The 1988–89 ACB season was the 6th season of the Liga ACB, after changing its name. The number of teams increased from 16 to 24. The format also changed. The 24 teams were divided into two groups of 12. After playing a league, 24 teams were divided into three groups of eight teams each. The first six of the white group and the champions of the red and blue groups played for the title. FC Barcelona won their third ACB title, and their 6th overall.
