2024–25 Vietnamese Cup
The 2024–25 Vietnamese National Football Cup is the 33rd edition of the Vietnamese National Football Cup, the premier knockout competition in Vietnamese football. A total of 25 clubs competed in this edition, including all teams from the top two tiers of the Vietnamese football league system. The competition will begin in October 2024 with the first-round matches, and will be concluded in June 2024 with the final. V.League 1 team Dong A Thanh Hoa were the two-time defending champions after winning back-to-back titles in the 2023 and 2023–24 editions, but were eliminated by Haiphong on the round of 16. The winners will play the 2025 Vietnamese Super Cup against the 2024–25 V.League 1 winners. Background The tournament consists of 14 teams from V.League 1 and 11 teams from V.League 2 to compete. SHB Đà Nẵng Football Club (), simply known as SHB Đà Nẵng, is a Vietnamese professional football club based in Da Nang that plays in V.League 1, the top tier in Vietnamese football, . Hoa Binh Football Club () is a Vietnamese professional football club based in Hoa Binh, Vietnam that competes in the V.League 2. History Hoa Binh FC was officially unveiled on 22 April 2021 with the motto Tự hào Tây Bắc ()". The club named former under-23 international Lê Quốc Vượng as their inaugural manager. Though the club was newly formed, they were officially recognized as Trieu Minh Football Club having been relocated to Hoa Binh.
