2024–25 Ukrainian First League
The 2024–25 Ukrainian First League is the 34th football league season since its establishment. The league competition consisted of 18 teams. The competition is conducting during the ongoing war with the Russia since late February 2022. The season started with an opening match of the season on 7 August 2024 between Ahrobiznes and Metalist in Volochysk. Most of the other Round 1 matches were played in the following day, 8 August 2024. Format The PFL has decided to keep the split group format of double round-robin tournaments with 9 teams in group, total 18 teams. The number of teams has been reduced to 18 compared to the 20 last season. Similar to the last season the top teams will qualify for the promotion tournament, four from each, while less fortunate teams, five from each, will qualify for the relegation tournament. Ukrainian First League
The Persha Liha ( ) or Ukrainian First League is a Ukrainian football league system, level of national football competitions (second tier) in Ukraine governed by the Professional Football League of Ukraine, Professional Football League at the discretion of the Ukrainian Association of Football. Members of the league also participate in the Ukrainian Cup. The league is the intermediate level of competitions within the three-tiered "competition pyramid". Druha Liha
The Ukrainian Second League (, ''Druha Liha'') is a professional football league in Ukraine which is part of the Professional Football League of Ukraine, a collective member of the Ukrainian Association of Football. As the third tier it was established in 1992 as the Transitional League and changed its name the next season. The league is lower than the Ukrainian First League (''Persha Liha'') and the lowest level of professional football competitions in the country. Since 1996 the league, after being merged with its lower tier (in 1992–1995 there was the Third League), consists of two main regions roughly north-west and south-east. Irpin
Irpin (, ) is a city on the Irpin River in Bucha Raion, Kyiv Oblast, northern Ukraine. It is located next to the capital Kyiv. Zolochivska Rural Hromada
Zolochivska rural hromada () is a hromada (community) of Ukraine, located in Boryspil Raion, Kyiv Oblast. Its administrative center is the village of Hnidyn. The hromada (community) is directly adjacent to the city of Kyiv by bordering on its southeastern outskirts of Darnytskyi District. Description It has an area of and a population of 5,851, as of 2020. Due to its proximity to Kyiv, the hromada is part of the Kyiv bigger urban and semi-urbanized areas. Boryspil
Boryspil (, ) is a city and the administrative center of Boryspil Raion in Kyiv Oblast (region) in northern and central Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Boryspil urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The population was estimated as Name Official sources state that the city is named after Prince Boris, of Boris and Gleb, two sons of Vladimir the Great, who were both murdered during the internecine wars of 1015–1019. FSC Mariupol () is a Ukrainian professional association football, football club based in the city of Mariupol. The team currently plays in the Ukrainian First League. Football Club Metalist Kharkiv, also known as Football Club Metalist Kharkov or FC Metalist Kharkov ( ), is a Ukrainian professional Association football, football club based in Kharkiv that plays in the Ukrainian First League during the 2023–24 Ukrainian First League, 2023–24 season. FC Mynai () is a Ukrainian professional association football, football club from Mynai, a suburb of Uzhhorod in Zakarpattia Oblast. 2023–24 Ukrainian Premier League
The 2023–24 Ukrainian Premier League season, referred to as the VBet Liha for sponsorship reasons, was the 33rd top-level football club competition since the fall of the Soviet Union and the 16th since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League. On 7 June 2023 the UPL published highlights of the next season regulation draft announcing that preliminary the next season is expected to start on 29 July. Also, this season had the national cup competitions restored which started on 16 August. The season regulation draft is yet to be approved by the General Assembly of the UPL participants.
