2024–25 Ligue 1 Mauritania
The 2024–25 Super D1 season is the 45th season of the premier association football league in Mauritania. FC Nouadhibou was the defending champion, having decisively won their record-extending twelfth title after defeating runner-ups AS Douanes the previous season. They retained their title with a record-breaking 13th league championship, as Sudanese team Al-Hilal are ineligible for the title as guests. Teams A total of 16 teams are taking part in the league, including the top 12 sides from the 2023–24 season, two promoted from the 2023–24 season of the Super D2 second division league, and two Sudanese clubs displaced by the Sudanese civil war. Al-Merrikh Stadium
Al-Merrikh Stadium, also known as the Red Castle, is a multi-use stadium in Omdurman, Sudan, used mostly for football matches and also sometimes for athletics. Established in 1962. The stadium is used mostly for football (soccer), football games and is considered the home stadium of both Al-Merrikh SC and the Sudan national football team, Sudan national team. Currently, the stadium has a capacity of 43,000. In the 2018 CAF Champions League season, Al-Merrikh drew an average home attendance of 37,250. They usually draw much lower crowds for their domestic league games. Overview The stadium officially opened on November 30, 1964. FC Tevragh-Zeina
Football Club Tevragh-Zeïna () is a Mauritania, Mauritanian football (soccer), football club based in the Tevragh-Zeina district of Nouakchott. The club was founded in 2005. History In 2009, ASC Tevragh-Zeïna reached the final of the Coupe du Président de la République but lost to ASAC Concorde 5–4 on penalties after the game ended 0–0. In 2010, they won the competition, beating FC Feu Mini 3–0 in the final. By winning the Cup, they qualified for the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup. On February 28, 2011, Tevragh-Zeïna became the first club from Mauritania since 1994 to advance in continental competition after beating AS Real Bamako of Mali 1–0 on aggregate in the preliminary round of the 2011 CAF Confederation Cup. Atar (, Berber languages, Berber for ''mountain'') is a town in northwestern Mauritania, the capital of the Adrar region, Adrar Region and the main settlement on the Adrar Plateau. The capacity has been increased to 10,300 since the most recent renovation. The stadium is used by the FC Nouadhibou. Association Culturelle et Sportive du Ksar () known as ACS Ksar is a Mauritanian football club based in Nouakchott the capital of the Mauritania. The club plays in the Ligue 1 Mauritania.
