2024–25 Liga 4 West Java Series 1
The 2024–25 Liga 4 West Java Series 1 was the inaugural season of Liga 4 West Java Series 1 after the structural changes of Indonesian football league system, Indonesian football competition and serves as a qualifying round for the national phase of the 2024–25 Liga 4. The competition is organised by the PSSI, West Java Provincial PSSI Association. Teams Teams changes The following teams changed division after the 2023–24 season. Both Depok City F.C., Depok City and PSGJ Cirebon, PSGJ have withdrawn from the league before the start of the season. Participating teams A total of 24 teams are competing in this season. Liga 4 ( English: ''League Four'') is the fourth-tier of the football competition system in Indonesia, and the only amateur league football competition in Indonesia. The competition is organized by Football Association of Indonesia (PSSI) and the first season starts in 2024. History From 2015 to 2023, there was no fourth-tier competition in the Indonesian football league system following the merger of Liga Nusantara with the First Division, which resulted in the formation of Liga 3 as the lowest tier of the national league structure. The Indonesian football league system is a series of league system for association football clubs in Indonesia. Since 1994, Liga Indonesia is the league competition featuring association football clubs, as a result of two existing top-flight football leagues merger: Perserikatan (amateur) and Galatama (semi professional). Liga Indonesia is managed by PSSI, the Indonesian national football federation, and operated by PT. Liga Indonesia Baru and its previous iterations (Badan Liga Indonesia from 1994–2008, PT Liga Indonesia from 2008–2015 and PT Gelora Trisula Semesta 2016). Persatoean Kesebelasan Indonesia Tjianjoer (simply known as a Perkesit) is an Indonesian football club based in Cianjur Regency, West Java that competes in Liga 4 (Indonesia), Liga 4. Their home base is Badak Putih Stadium. History In the 2004 Liga Indonesia Second Division, Perkesit played in the West Java zone in Group D which took place at the Persikas Stadium, Subang Regency. The club joined together with the Pemda Jabar, Persikas Subang as the host, and Perssi Sukabumi. With a result, Perkesit had to be at the bottom of Group D with 3 defeats. The 2024–25 Liga Nusantara (also known as the 2024–25 PNM Liga Nusantara for sponsorship reasons) is the inaugural season of the Liga Nusantara under its current name and the 9th season under its current Indonesian football league system, league structure. Perserikatan Sepakbola Indonesia Subang, (commonly known as Persikas Subang), is an Indonesian football team based in Subang, West Java. They last competed in the Liga 2. History For the first time in the club's history, Persikas Subang officially recruited the first foreign player during the club's existence.
