2024–25 FC Krasnodar Season
The 2024–25 season was FC Krasnodar's 17th season in existence and 13th consecutive in the Russian Premier League. In addition to the domestic league, where they won their first title, they participated in the Russian Cup before defeat to Akhmat Grozny in the Regions path Quarter-finals Stage 2, and were Runners Up to Zenit St.Petersburg in the Super Cup. FC Krasnodar is a Russian professional football club based in Krasnodar that plays in the Russian Premier League. They are the league's reigning champions. The club was founded in 2008. In 2009, the club was promoted to the Russian First Division, the second highest division of the Russian football league system, despite finishing Zone South of Second Division in third. At the end of the 2010 season, they were promoted to the Russian Premier League for the 2011 season, despite finishing fifth in the first division. In 2013, FC Krasnodar began the construction of the 35,074-seat Krasnodar Stadium which was opened on 9 October 2016. FC Baltika () is a professional association football club based in Kaliningrad, Russia. The club will return to the Russian Premier League in the 2025–26 season. History The club was founded on 22 December 1954 as ''Pishchevik Kaliningrad''. In 1958 the club was renamed ''Baltika''. The team entered the Soviet League in 1957 and played in Class B (1957–1965), Class A, Group 2 (1966–1970), and Second League (1971–1991). The best result was achieved in 1984, when Baltika won the regional group tournament. Lucas René Olaza Catrofe (born 21 July 1994) is a Uruguayan professional footballer who plays as a left-back for Russian Premier League club Krasnodar and the Uruguay national team. Vítor Tormena de Farias (born 4 January 1996) is a Brazilian footballer who plays as a centre-back for Russian Premier League club Krasnodar. Formed at São Paulo where he played only in the Copa Paulista, he played most of his career in Portugal, making 126 appearances for Braga with whom he won the Taça da Liga (2020) and Taça de Portugal (2021).
