2024–25 Cymru Premier
The 2024–25 Cymru Premier (; known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons) was the 33rd season of the Cymru Premier (formerly known as the Welsh Premier League), the highest Association football, football league within Wales since its establishment in 1992. The New Saints F.C., The New Saints were the season's champions, their fourth successive title. Teams The league consisted of twelve teams; the top ten teams from the previous season, one team promoted from the Cymru North, and one team promoted from the Cymru South. The New Saints F.C., The New Saints entered the season as defending champions (for the third consecutive season). Cymru Premier
The Cymru Premier, known as the JD Cymru Premier for sponsorship reasons, is the national football league of Wales. It has both professional and semi-professional status clubs and is at the top of the Welsh football league system. It was founded in 1992, as the first league representing all of Wales. Prior to 2002, the league was known as the League of Wales (LoW), but changed its name as part of a sponsorship deal to the Welsh Premier League. The league was rebranded as the Cymru Premier for the 2019–20 season. Though formed relatively recently, the league contains some of the oldest clubs in world football. Eleven current or former members of the league were founded in the 1870s or 1880s, with many more formed before the end of the 19th century. The vast majority of its clubs are still owned and run by the local community or by people from the area. Cymru North
The Cymru North is a regional association football, football league in Wales, covering the northern half of the country. It initially had clubs with semi-professional status. Together with the Cymru South, it forms the second tier of the Welsh football league system. The first year of its operation was 2019–20 with the Football Association of Wales owning and administering the tier 2 leagues for the first time. These changes followed from a review of the Welsh Football Pyramid. Prior to 2019, the equivalent league was the Cymru Alliance, covering North and Central Wales. Park Avenue, Aberystwyth
Park Avenue (Welsh: ''Coedlan y Parc'') currently called Aberystwyth University Stadium for sponsorship purposes, is a football stadium in Aberystwyth, Wales and has served as the home of Cymru Premier side Aberystwyth Town since 1907. The stadium capacity is 5,000 with 1,500 seats. It is a 4G artificial turf pitch. In May 2021, the ground was designated UEFA Category 2 status after successful inspection by Standards Officer Scott Struthers. The 2023–24 Cymru South season (also known as the 2023–24 JD Sports, JD Cymru South season for sponsorship reasons) was the fourth season of the second-tier Southern region football in Welsh football league system, Welsh football pyramid. The winners (Briton Ferry Llansawel A.F.C., Briton Ferry Llansawel) were promoted to the 2024–25 Cymru Premier.
