2024–25 CSA 4-Day Series
The 2024–25 CSA 4-Day Franchise Series is the 118th CSA 4-Day Domestic Series cricket season in South Africa. As in 2023, Division One had eight teams and Division Two had seven teams. The competition took place in South Africa from 30 October 2024 to 14 April 2025. Cricket South Africa
Cricket South Africa aka CSA is the governing body for both professional and amateur cricket in South Africa. In 1991, the separate South African Cricket Union and the South African Cricket Board merged to form the United Cricket Board of South Africa, ending racial separation governance in South African cricket. Cricket South Africa was formed in 2002, and initially ran parallel to the UCB, before becoming the sole governing body in 2008. As an affiliate of the South African Sports Confederation and Olympic Committee, and a full member of the International Cricket Council, CSA administers all levels of cricket in South Africa, including the national teams in all three formats for both men and women. KwaZulu-Natal
KwaZulu-Natal (, also referred to as KZN) is a Provinces of South Africa, province of South Africa that was created in 1994 when the government merged the Zulu people, Zulu bantustan of KwaZulu ("Place of the Zulu" in Zulu language, Zulu) and Natal Province. It is located in the southeast of the country, with a long shoreline on the Indian Ocean. It shares borders with three other provinces and the countries of Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho. Centurion Park
Centurion Park is a cricket ground in Centurion in South Africa. It is also known as SuperSport Park since television company SuperSport bought shares in the stadium. The capacity of the ground is 22,000. The Titans cricket team have played most of their home games here since 2004. The ground was home to the Titans' predecessor team Northerns (previously ''Northern Transvaal'') since 1986. It is also the home ground of the Pretoria Capitals. Titans (cricket Team)
The Titans (known as the Multiply Titans for sponsorship reasons) are the northernmost top-level cricket franchise in South Africa. Its member unions are the Eastern Cricket Union and Northerns Cricket Union. The home venues of the Titans are SuperSport Park, Centurion and Willowmoore Park, Benoni. The Titans play in the Sunfoil Series first class competition (where they were the 2015-16 champions), the Momentum One Day Cup, and Ram Slam T20 Challenge. They have been Supersport Series and MiWay T20 Challenge champions in the past, and had qualified to take part in the Champions League Twenty20 where they narrowly lost to the Sydney Sixers at SuperSport Park. North West (South African Province)
North West ( ; ) is a province of South Africa. Its capital is Mahikeng. The province is located to the west of the major population centre and province of Gauteng and south of Botswana. Potchefstroom ( ; ), colloquially known as Potch, is an college town, academic city in the North West (South African province), North West Province of South Africa. It hosts the Potchefstroom Campus of the North-West University. The Absa Puk Oval, formerly known as the Fanie du Toit Sports Complex and the University Oval is a cricket ground in Potchefstroom, South Africa. It has hosted senior cricket irregularly since 1982, when Transvaal hosted South African Universities. In 2010, it was one of three venues used for the ICC Women's Cricket Challenge. North West (cricket Team)
North West (formerly Western Transvaal) plays first-class cricket in South Africa. North West Dragons was called Western Transvaal in 1989–90 when it began playing List A cricket in the Nissan Shield, and in 1991–92 when it began playing in the second tier of the South African first-class cricket competition. It changed its name to North West in 1996, after the creation of North West province from parts of the former Transvaal Province and Cape Province. Under the name Western Transvaal it won no matches at all in its five first-class seasons. City Oval (formerly Alexandra Park and sometimes called the Pietermaritzburg Oval), is a multi-purpose stadium in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa. The 12,000 capacity stadium is currently used predominantly for cricket matches, with the ground being used by KwaZulu-Natal Inland men's and women's teams, KwaZulu-Natal and Dolphins (who also play at Kingsmead, Durban), and hosted two matches during the 2003 Cricket World Cup. KwaZulu-Natal Inland (cricket Team)
KwaZulu-Natal Inland are a South African first-class cricket team who are based in Pietermaritzburg. They are one of fifteen South African provincial teams. Their home games are played at Pietermaritzburg Oval. KwaZulu-Natal Inland were granted first-class status in 2006 and took part in the 2006-07 South African Airways Provincial Three-Day Challenge. They used to take part in the Provincial Three-Day Challenge tournament and the Provincial One-Day Competition.
