2024 Viterra Championship
The 2024 Viterra Championship, Manitoba's provincial men's curling championship, was held from February 7 to 11 at the Veterans Memorial Sports Complex in Stonewall, Manitoba, Stonewall, Manitoba. The winning Reid Carruthers rink represented Manitoba at the 2024 Montana's Brier in Regina, Saskatchewan, Regina, Saskatchewan. Stonewall, Manitoba
Stonewall is a town in the Canadian province of Manitoba with a population of 5,046 as of the 2021 census. The town is situated approximately north of Winnipeg on PTH 67. It is known for its limestone quarries. The local festival is the Quarry Days which is usually held over three days in August on Main Street. The town is surrounded by the R.M. of Rockwood. History When the last ice age retreated, as well as the prairies, escarpments such as Riding Mountain were left behind. In addition to these, smaller elevations were left behind such as Stony Mountain and Stonewall. It is believed that these escarpments were used as look-outs by early hunters approximately 4,000 to 5,000 years ago. These formations were later used as buffalo jumps by the indigenous populations. Grant Brown (curler)
Grant Ashley Brown (born 19 November 1969) is an English football coach and former professional player. As a player, he was a defender from 1988 to 2006, notably making 407 league appearances for Lincoln City between 1989 and 2002. He also played in the Football League for Leicester City prior to his move to Lincoln. After his departure from Sincil Bank he went on to spend the last four years of his career playing Non-league football for Telford United, Alfreton Town, Worksop Town and Grantham Town. He returned to Lincoln in 2005 as a part-time youth coach whilst still a player with Grantham and at the end of the season he rejoined the Imps on a full-time coaching basis. Justin Darcey Reynolds (born December 12, 1988) is an American professional basketball player who last played for the South West Slammers of the State Basketball League (SBL). He played college basketball for Texas A&M–Corpus Christi. College career Reynolds played four years of college basketball for Texas A&M–Corpus Christi between 2007 and 2011, where he finished Top 10 all-time in scoring, rebounds, blocks and steals. In 124 games, he made 114 starts and averaged 10.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 1.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 25.3 minutes per game.
