2024 Turkish Basketball Cup
The 2024 Turkish Basketball Cup (), also known as ING Erkekler Türkiye Kupası for sponsorship reasons, was the 37th edition of Turkey's top-tier level professional national domestic basketball cup competition. The quarterfinals of tournament were hold from 13 to 14 February 2024 in 4 different locations, followed by the semi-finals and the final held from 16 to 18 February 2024 at the Karatay Spor ve Kongre Merkezi in Konya, Turkey. Qualified teams The top eight placed teams after the first half of the top-tier level Basketball Super League 2023–24 Basketbol Süper Ligi, 2023–24 season qualified for the tournament. The four highest-placed teams played against the lowest-seeded teams in the quarter-finals. The competition was played under a single-elimination tournament, single elimination format. The 2022 Turkish Basketball Cup (), also known as Bitci Erkekler Türkiye Kupası for sponsorship reasons, was the 36th edition of Turkey's top-tier level professional national domestic basketball cup competition. The quarterfinals of tournament were held from 15 to 16 February 2022 in 4 different locations and then semi-finals and the final were held from 18 to 20 February 2022 in the Tofaş Nilüfer Spor Salonu in Bursa, Turkey. Anadolu Efes S.K., Anadolu Efes won the competition by defeating Fenerbahçe Basketball, Fenerbahçe Beko 86–72 in the final. Petkim Spor
Petkim Spor Kulübü, more commonly known as Socar Spor is a Turkish professional basketball club based in İzmir which currently competes in the Turkish Basketball Super League (BSL). The team was founded by Petkim in 2013 and got promoted to the first division in 2020. Their home arena is Aliağa Belediyesi ENKA Spor Salonu with a capacity of 3,000 seats. The team is sponsored by SOCAR, an oil and gas company in Azerbaijan. Ataköy is a quarter of Bakırköy district in Istanbul Province, Turkey. It was developed as one of the first examples of satellite-city projects in Turkey. Ataköy is located in Bakırköy district on the European side of Istanbul. It is adjacent to Bahçelievler district and Şirinevler neighborhood. The area in the then outskirt of Istanbul City, which Ataköy today covers, belonged to the Turkish military, and was called Baruthane (literally: gunpowder magazine). The Sinan Erdem Dome (), formerly known as the Ataköy Dome, is a multi-purpose indoor arena that is located in Ataköy, Bakırköy on the European side of Istanbul, Turkey. It has a seating capacity of 22,500 for concerts. Emanuel Jonh Terry (born August 21, 1996) is an American professional basketball player for Beşiktaş Fibabanka of the Basketbol Süper Ligi (BSL). The Turkish Basketball Federation () is the national federation for basketball in Turkey. It is headquartered in Istanbul. They organize the Basketball Super League, Women's Basketball Super League the Turkish Basketball Cup and the Turkish Basketball Presidential Cup. It is also responsible for appointing the management of the men's, women's and youth national basketball teams. In October 2016, Hidayet Türkoğlu was elected as its president.
