The 2024 Tennessee Republican presidential primary was held on March 5, 2024, as part of the Republican Party primaries for the 2024 presidential election. 58 delegates to the 2024 Republican National Convention were allocated on a winner-take-most basis. Ronald Dion DeSantis (; born September 14, 1978) is an American politician serving as the 46th governor of Florida since January 2019. A member of the Republican Party, DeSantis represented Florida's 6th district in the U.S. House of Representatives from 2013 to 2018. Mark Edward Green (born November 8, 1964) is an American politician, physician, and retired U.S. Army major who has served as the U.S. representative for since 2019. A member of the Republican Party, Green has chaired the Committee on Homeland Security since 2023. The 3rd congressional district of Tennessee is a congressional district in East Tennessee. It has been represented by Republican Chuck Fleischmann since January 2011. Current boundaries The district comprises two halves, joined together through a narrow tendril in Roane County near Ten Mile.
