2024 TSport 200
The 2024 TSport 200 was the 15th stock car race of the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and the 3rd iteration of the event. The race will be held on Friday, July 19, 2024, in Brownsburg, Indiana at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park, a permanent quad-oval shaped racetrack. The race took the scheduled 200 laps to complete. Ty Majeski, driving for ThorSport Racing, would overcome from an early race penalty, and took the lead from Christian Eckes late in the race to earn his fourth career NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series win, his second consecutive win at IRP, and his first of the season. This was also the first win for Ford in the Truck Series in 2024. Eckes led a race-high 73 laps, before getting passed by Majeski and finishing 2nd. NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is a pickup truck racing series owned and operated by the NASCAR, National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing (NASCAR), and is the only series in NASCAR to race production pickup truck-based stock car racing, stock cars. Tricon Garage, formerly known as David Gilliland Racing, DGR-Crosley, and Team DGR, is an American professional stock car racing team that competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the NASCAR Cup Series. The team was founded in early 2017 when racing team owners David Gilliland and Bo LeMastus came together to form a collaborative effort from their respective teams, David Gilliland Racing and Crosley Sports Group, known as DGR-Crosley. William Sawalich (born October 3, 2006) is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, driving the No. 18 Toyota GR Supra for Joe Gibbs Racing, part-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, driving the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD Pro for Tricon Garage, and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series, ARCA Menards Series East and ARCA Menards Series West, driving the No. 18 Toyota Camry for JGR. A dragstrip is a facility for conducting automobile and motorcycle acceleration events such as drag racing. Although a quarter mile (1320 feet, 402 m) is the best known measure for a drag track, many tracks are eighth mile (201 m) tracks, and the premiere classes will run 1,000 foot (304.8 m) races. The race is begun from a standing start which allows three factors to affect the outcome of the race: reaction time, power/weight ratio, and traction.
