The 2024 Syed Modi International, officially known as the Syed Modi India International 2024, was a badminton tournament that took place at Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium in Lucknow, India, from 26 November to 1 December 2024. It had a total prize of $210,000. Tournament The 2024 Syed Modi International was the thirty-seventh tournament of the 2024 BWF World Tour and the 2024 edition of the Syed Modi International championships, which have been held since 2009. This tournament was organized by the Badminton Association of India with sanction from the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at Babu Banarasi Das Indoor Stadium in Lucknow, India. The India national badminton team is the representative of India in international men's and women's badminton team tournaments. It is governed by the Badminton Association of India. The men's team won the Thomas Cup in 2022, while the women's team have been semi-finalists at the Uber Cup in 2014 and 2016. Nhat Nguyen (, ; born 16 June 2000) is a Vietnamese-born Irish badminton player. Biography Nguyen was born in the suburbs of Hanoi, Vietnam and moved to Cavan, Ireland with his parents and older sister, when he was six years old. He began representing Ireland internationally when he received his Irish passport and citizenship in 2017; before that he was unable to travel outside Ireland to compete overseas. He was the gold medalist at the 2016 European U17 Championships in the boys' singles event, and also won bronze in the doubles event partnered with Paul Reynolds.
