2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season
The 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season was the eighth season of the premier Netball in Australia, netball league in Australia. The season commenced on Saturday 13 April and concluded with the Grand Final on Saturday 3 August at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre. The defending premiers were the Adelaide Thunderbirds, who successfully defended their title after defeating the Melbourne Vixens in the Grand Final. This was the first season to feature the Melbourne Mavericks, who replaced the Collingwood Magpies (netball), Collingwood Magpies at the conclusion of the 2023 Suncorp Super Netball season, 2023 season. The Super Netball League (known predominantly by its sponsored name Suncorp Group, Suncorp Super Netball (SSN)) is a professional netball league in Netball in Australia, Australia. It superseded the trans-Tasman ANZ Championship, which also included teams from Netball in New Zealand, New Zealand, as the top-level netball league in Australia in 2017. Giants Netball (stylised as GIANTS Netball) are an Australian professional netball team based in Greater Western Sydney, New South Wales. Since 2017 they have played in Suncorp Super Netball. The team was formed in 2016 as a joint venture between Netball New South Wales and Greater Western Sydney Giants. Kate Moloney
Kate Moloney is an Australian netballer who plays for the Melbourne Vixens in the Suncorp Super Netball league. As of April 2017, she is the captain of the Vixens. Moloney made her domestic league netball debut for the Vixens in 2013 and was appointed captain of the team four years later. She made her debut for the Australian national netball team in 2017, going on to be selected in the Australian Diamonds squad for the 2018/19 international season. Simone McKinnis
Simone McKinnis is a former Australia netball international and the current head coach of Melbourne Vixens in Suncorp Super Netball. As a player she was a member of the Australia teams that won gold medals at the 1991 and 1995 World Netball Championships, the 1993 World Games and the 1998 Commonwealth Games. She also captained the Melbourne Phoenix team that won the 1997 Commonwealth Bank Trophy. She was head coach when Vixens won the 2014 ANZ Championship and the 2020 Suncorp Super Netball titles. Amy Parmenter
Amy Parmenter (born 1 August 1997) is an Australian netball player in the Suncorp Super Netball league, playing as the Captain for Melbourne Mavericks, for which she also serves as the club's Australian Netball Players’ Association delegate. Parmenter was elevated to the Giants senior ahead of the 2019 season, having been a training partner with Canberra Giants in the Australian Netball League for the previous two years. Tracey Anne Neville (born 21 January 1977) is a former England netball international and a former England head coach. She is the current head coach of Melbourne Mavericks. As a player, she was a member of the England teams that won bronze medals at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and the 1999 World Netball Championships.
