2024 Spielberg Formula 2 Round
The 2024 Spielberg Formula 2 round was a motor racing event held between 28 and 30 June 2024 at the Red Bull Ring. It was the seventh round of the 2024 Formula 2 Championship and was held in support of the 2024 Austrian Grand Prix. Classification Qualifying While Isack Hadjar was on top for the early stages of the session, an issue with his car resulted in him only being able to complete 7 laps. MP Motorsport's Dennis Hauger secured his second pole of the season ahead of Joshua Dürksen by only 8 thousandths of a second. Sprint race Oliver Bearman took his first podium and win of the season at the Sprint Race, after having a better start than pole-sitter Kush Maini, who also lost a position to Pepe Martí during the first lap of the race after making a contact that broke the Spanish driver's front wing. Red Bull Ring
The Red Bull Ring is a motorsport race track in Spielberg, Austria, Spielberg, Styria, Austria. The race circuit was founded as Österreichring (translation: Austrian Circuit) and hosted the Austrian Grand Prix for 18 consecutive years, from to . It was later shortened, rebuilt and renamed the A1-Ring (A Eins-Ring), and it hosted the Austrian Grand Prix again from to . When Formula One outgrew the circuit, a plan was drawn up to extend the layout. Parts of the circuit, including the pits and main grandstand, were demolished, but construction work was stopped and the circuit remained unusable for several years before it was purchased by Red Bull's Dietrich Mateschitz and rebuilt. 2024 Formula 2 Championship
The 2024 FIA Formula 2 Championship was a motor racing championship for Formula 2 cars sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship was the fifty-eighth season of Formula 2 racing and the eighth season run under the FIA Formula 2 Championship moniker. Formula 2 is an open-wheel racing category serving as the second tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. The category was run in support of selected rounds of the 2024 Formula One World Championship. Enzo Fittipaldi da Cruz (; born 18 July 2001) is a Brazilians, Brazilian and American racing driver, who is currently competing in the 2025 European Le Mans Series driving for CLX Motorsport. Victor Martins (; born 16 June 2001) is a French racing driver, who competes in the FIA Formula 2 Championship for ART Grand Prix as part of the Williams Driver Academy. ART Grand Prix is a French motor racing team that competes in formula single-seaters in Europe.
