2024 Spa-Francorchamps Formula 3 Round
The 2024 Spa-Francorchamps Formula 3 round was a motor racing event held between 26 and 28 July at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, Stavelot, Belgium. It was the penultimate race of the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship, and was held in support of the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix. Despite not scoring any points in the Feature race, Prema Racing secured the teams championship for the fifth time in six seasons as their main rival ART Grand Prix failed to score the sufficient amount of points in order to retain in mathematical contention for the Teams' Championship, going into the final round in Monza. Circuit De Spa-Francorchamps
The Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps (), frequently referred to as ''Spa'', is a motor-racing circuit located in Stavelot, Belgium. It is the current venue of the Formula One Belgian Grand Prix, hosting its first Grand Prix in 1925, and has held a Grand Prix every year since 1985 (except 2003 and 2006). Spa also hosts several other international events including the 24 Hours of Spa, the World Endurance Championship 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. It is also home to the Uniroyal Fun Cup 25 Hours of Spa, one of the longest motor races in the world. The circuit has undergone several redesigns through its history, most extensively in 1979 when the track was modified and shortened from a circuit using public roads to a permanent circuit due to safety concerns with the old circuit. The 2024 Eurocup-3 season is the second season of the Eurocup-3 series. Eurocup-3 is a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seater open wheel formula racing cars held across Europe. The championship was created in 2023 as an alternative to the FIA-sanctioned Formula Regional European Championship and the Euroformula Open championship, after the latter series struggled to attract entries in late 2022. Santiago Ramos Reynoso (born 26 January 2004), known simply as Santiago Ramos, is a Mexican racing driver currently set to compete in the 2023 Formula Regional European Championship for Race Performance Motorsport. Tim Tramnitz (born 16 November 2004) is a German racing driver who is racing for Trident in the Formula Regional European Championship. He is the 2021 Italian F4 and ADAC F4 runner-up. Sami Meguetounif (born 24 May 2004) is a French racing driver who currently competes in the Formula Regional European Championship with MP Motorsport. Career Karting Born in Marseille and raised in Morocco, Meguetounif started karting in his native France in 2013, racing in the Regional PACAC championship, which he would go on to finish second in. He won the same championship in the Minime class two years later, and soon made his debut in various national championships. Meguetounif moved into international competition in 2017, finishing fifth in the Karting Academy Trophy and getting second place in the Rotax Max Challenge Grand Finals, only losing out to Tijmen van der Helm.
