2024 Saville Shootout
The 2024 Saville Shootout was held from September 6 to 9 at the Saville Community Sports Centre in Edmonton, Alberta. The event was held in a round robin format with a $25,000 purse on both the men's and women's sides. In the men's final, reigning Brier silver medalist Mike McEwen avenged his sole loss of the week, defeating Manitoba's Jordon McDonald 8–5 to win the event. After tying the score at four all, the McEwen rink, with Colton Flasch, Kevin Marsh and Dan Marsh stole two to take control of the game. To reach the final, Team McEwen finished 4–1 through the round robin and then won playoff games over Ethan Sampson and Rylan Kleiter in the quarterfinals and semifinals respectively. Team McDonald were one of only two teams to go through the round robin undefeated with a 5–0 record. In the playoffs, they eliminated both Yusuke Morozumi and Reid Carruthers to enter the final. Gim Eun-ji
Gim Eun-ji also known as Gim Un-chi (born January 23, 1990) is a Korean curler from Uijeongbu. She currently skips the Gyeonggi Province curling team. Career Gim played as lead in her first world championship at the 2011 Capital One World Women's Curling Championship along with skip Kim Ji-sun. The team struggled finishing in last place with a 2–9 record. At the 2012 World Women's Curling Championship, South Korea made history by making the playoffs for the first time with an 8–3 record. Kevin Koe ( ; born January 11, 1975) is a Canadian curling, curler. Koe is a two-time World champion and four-time Canadian champion. He was the skip (curling), skip of the Canadian men's team at the Curling at the 2018 Winter Olympics - Men's tournament, 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang. Reid Carruthers
Reid Carruthers (born December 30, 1984) is a Canadian curler from Winnipeg, Manitoba. Carruthers was the 2011 world champion—winning gold as a second on Jeff Stoughton's team—as well as an eight-time provincial champion, the 2003 junior provincial champion, and the 2008 Manitoba provincial mixed champion. He coaches the Kerri Einarson women's team. Career As a junior curler, Carruthers skipped Manitoba at the 2003 Canadian Junior Curling Championships. is a Japanese curler from Karuizawa. He skipped the Japanese men's team at the 2018 Winter Olympics. He currently coaches the Chubu Electric Power Curling Team. Rylan Kleiter
Rylan Kleiter (born July 4, 1998) is a Canadian curler from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. He currently skips his own team. Team Kleiter is known for their brightly coloured paint splash pants. Curling career Juniors Kleiter and his rink of Trevor Johnson, Joshua Mattern and Matthieu Taillon represented Saskatchewan internationally for the first time at the 2015 U18 International Curling Championships where he skipped the team to a 2–3 round robin record, unfortunately missing the playoffs. The team was able to win their two consolation games however, winning the C Event. Team Kleiter won the U18 provincial championship once again in 2017. 2024 Montana's Brier
The 2024 Montana's Brier, Canada's national men's curling championship, was held from March 1 to 10 at the Brandt Centre in Regina, Saskatchewan, Regina, Saskatchewan.
