2024 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy
The 2024 Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy was the fifth, and final, edition of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, an English women's cricket 50-over domestic competition, which took place between 20 April and 21 September 2024. It featured eight teams playing in a double round-robin group stage, followed by a knock-out round. It ran alongside the Charlotte Edwards Cup. Southern Vipers were the defending champions. Sunrisers won their maiden Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy title, beating South East Stars in the rain affected final by 27 runs ( DLS method). Format Teams played each other twice in a group of eight, with the top four qualifying for the knock-out stage. This represented the addition of a semi-finals stage compared to the previous edition, which had one play-off between second and third place. The final was held at Grace Road, Leicester. The Shropshire Women's cricket team is the women's representative cricket team for the English historic county of Shropshire. They play their home games at various grounds across the county, including Ellesmere College Ground, Ellesmere and are captained by Lara Jones. Shropshire withdrew from the Women's County Championship after the 2018 season, have since competed in the Women's Twenty20 Cup. North West Thunder, commonly referred to as Thunder, were a women's cricket team that represented Lancashire and North West England, one of eight regional hubs in English domestic women's cricket. They played their home matches at various grounds, including Old Trafford Cricket Ground. They were captained by Eleanor Threlkeld and coached by Chris Read.
