2024 Queensland Cup
The 2024 Queensland Cup season was the 29th season of Queensland's top-level statewide rugby league competition run by the Queensland Rugby League. The competition, known as the Hostplus Cup due to sponsorship, features 15 teams playing a 27-week long season (including finals) from March to September. Norths Devils won the Grand Final 34–20 against the Redcliffe Dolphins, after the Dolphins had eliminated minor premiers Northern Pride in the preliminary final. Teams In 2024, the line-up of teams was unchanged from the 2023 season. There were a number of affiliation changes during 2023. The Burleigh Bears switched to the Broncos, while the Ipswich Jets joined the Titans. Norths Devils
The Northern Suburbs Devils, or North Brisbane Devils, or often simply referred to as Norths for short, are a rugby league club representing the northern suburbs of Brisbane, Australia. The team colours are sky blue, navy blue and gold. They play in the Queensland Cup, Hostplus Cup, and, through their predecessors, are one of the oldest clubs in Australia. Burleigh Bears
The Burleigh Bears are an Australian professional rugby league football club based in Gold Coast, Australia. They compete in Queensland's top rugby league competition, the Queensland Cup. Since their admission to the competition in 1997, the club has appeared in six Grand Finals, winning four (1999, 2004, 2016 and 2019) and won the minor premiership three times (2003, 2004 and 2023). Ben Cross (born 6 December 1978 in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and coach. North Ipswich Reserve
North Ipswich Reserve, known as Qld Group Stadium or commercially Bendigo Bank Oval, is a sports venue in Ipswich, Queensland. Originally an Australian rules football (and later cricket) oval, it became a primarily rugby league venue in the 1920s as that code experienced an explosion in local popularity. It is currently home to the Ipswich Jets, who play in the Queensland Wizard Cup. On occasion the venue plays host to National Rugby League trial matches, most recently when the Sydney Roosters played the Jets. Ipswich Jets
The Ipswich Jets are an Australian rugby league football club based in Ipswich, Queensland. Their name comes from nearby RAAF Base Amberley, one of the largest airbases in Australia. The Jets compete in the Queensland Cup competition. Originally in the 1980s their colours were green and white, but in recent years gold has been added to the combination. Dolphins (NRL)
The Dolphins are a professional rugby league football team, based in the Redcliffe Peninsula area of the City of Moreton Bay (which is part of the greater Brisbane area of South East Queensland, South East Queensland), that competes in the Australian National Rugby League (NRL). Lionel Harbin (3 October 1976) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s, and has coached in the 2010s. He played at club level for Canberra Raiders (junior), and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats, under head-coach, and father John Harbin, as a , and has coached at representative level for Vanuatu, and at club level for Wakefield Trinity Wildcats (academy coach). Browne Park
Browne Park is a rectangular football stadium located in the Rockhampton suburb of Wandal, Queensland, Australia. The venue has been the home of rugby football in Central Queensland since 1890 and today also hosts rugby union and soccer matches. It hosted a match of the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. The Central Queensland Capras are a semi-professional rugby league football club primarily based in Rockhampton, Queensland and representing Central Queensland.
