2024 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference
The 2024 Premier Volleyball League Reinforced Conference was the eighteenth conference of the Premier Volleyball League and its ninth conference as a professional league. This was the second conference for the 2024 season. It was originally slated to be a merged tournament of the Invitational and Reinforced Conferences, but PVL Commissioner Sherwin Malonzo announced in a simultaneous interview during the commencement of the 2024 PVL Draft Combine that this would be a stand-alone Reinforced tournament and that the Invitational Conference would start in September. Twelve teams competed in this conference, which have been grouped into two pools. Each team would be allowed to reinforced by one foreign player. One Sports (TV Channel)
One Sports (stylized in all lowercase) is a Philippine free-to-air television network owned by Nation Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and jointly operated by TV5 Network, Inc., both subsidiaries of MediaQuest Holdings, Inc. media arm of PLDT Beneficial Trust Fund. Kungfu Reyes
Emilio "Kungfu" Reyes, Jr. (born May 2, 1981) is a Filipino volleyball coach and former player. Career In the UAAP, Reyes played for the UST Golden Spikers, who won the title in Seasons 61, 63, and 65 (1999, 2001, and 2003), and finished as runners-up in Seasons 62 and 64 (2000 and 2002). After college, Reyes returned as a player and team captain of the Philippine Army Troopers, who were debuting in the 2016 Reinforced Conference of the Spikers' Turf. Coaching career UST Reyes started his coaching career in 2004 as an assistant to coach Francis Vicente of the UST Junior Tigresses. He became head coach of the girls team in 2013, helping them win four juniors titles. In April 2015, Reyes became the head coach of the senior UST Golden Tigresses team, taking over from Odjie Mamon. Chery Tiggo Crossovers
The Chery Tiggo Crossovers are a Filipino professional women's volleyball team competing in the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). The team is owned by United Asia Automotive Group, Inc. (UAAGI) and is named after the Chery Tiggo crossover SUVs. They have won one championship, the 2021 PVL Open Conference. History The team debuted in the Philippine Super Liga, Philippine Superliga (PSL) during the 2014 PSL Grand Prix Conference, 2014 Grand Prix as the original Foton Tornadoes. Roger Gorayeb
Roger Gorayeb is a Filipino volleyball coach and former college player who is the head coach of the San Sebastian Lady Stags of NCAA Philippines and a team consultant for the Capital1 Solar Spikers of the Premier Volleyball League (PVL). Gorayeb has been the head coach of San Sebastian since the 1980s and has helped lead San Sebastian to numerous volleyball titles. Career Gorayeb has served as head coach of the San Sebastian College women's volleyball team. Under Gorayeb's watch, San Sebastian grabbed 11 consecutive championships for the women's team from 1986 to 1997, 22 women's volleyball titles, 6 titles in women's beach volleyball and 11 in junior's volleyball. The Capital1 Solar Spikers is a professional women's volleyball team in the Philippines debuting in the Premier Volleyball League. Capital1 Solar Spikers is affiliated with Capital1 Solar Energy. Capital1 Solar Energy builds, operates, and owns industrial-scale solar power plants across the Philippines. History Capital1 Solar Energy joined the Premier Volleyball League in 2024. Michelle Cobb
Michelle Monique Cobb (born February 16, 1999) is a Filipino retired professional volleyball player. Early life and education Michelle Monique Cobb was born on February 16, 1999 in Manila, Philippines. She studied at St. Scholastica's College, Manila and the De La Salle University. Career Collegiate Cobb played for the De La Salle Lady Spikers at the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). In 2017, she helped the De La Salle clinch their second and third titles of their three-peat in Seasons 79 and 80. She became a starter at Season 81, however her team failed to reach the Final Four. She played a game in Season 82 which was eventually cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. Women's volleyball was not held for the next two years. Takayuki Minowa
is a Japanese volleyball coach who was last part of the Philippine women's club Akari Chargers of the Premier Volleyball League as its head coach from 2024 to 2025. Early life Takayuki Minowa was born on 8 September 1991 in the Fukui Prefecture in Japan and attended Chukyo University and the graduate school of Kokushikan University. 4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. 2024 FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup
The 2024 FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup was the fifth and last edition of the FIVB Women's Volleyball Challenger Cup, an annual women's international volleyball tournament contested by eight national teams that acted as a qualifier for the FIVB Women's Volleyball Nations League. The tournament was held at the Ninoy Aquino Stadium in Manila, the Philippines, between 4 and 7 July 2024. The host Philippines were the only debutants in this edition.
