The 2024 Nebraska elections were held on November 5, 2024. Voters in Nebraska elected both of the state's members of the United States Senate, all three members of the United States House of Representatives, half of the seats in the Nebraska Legislature, state legislature, and seats on the Nebraska Public Service Commission, Public Service Commission, Nebraska Department of Education#State Board of Education, State Board of Education, and University of Nebraska system#Board of Regents, Board of Regents. Preston Love Jr. (born 1942) is an American politician, professor, author and activist who served as Jesse Jackson's campaign manager during the 1984 Democratic primaries. Love is the first black person in Nebraska to receive the support of a major political party for United States Senate. Tim Schram (born October 20, 1961) is an American Republican politician currently serving as a member of the Nebraska Public Service Commission from the 3rd district. He was first elected in 2006 and re-elected in 2012, 2018, and 2024, making him the longest-serving current member of the Commission. Nebraska's 1st congressional district is a congressional district in the U.S. state of Nebraska that encompasses most of its eastern quarter, except for Omaha and some of its suburbs, which are part of the 2nd congressional district.
