2024 Monaco EPrix
The 2024 Monaco ePrix was a Formula E electric car race held at the Circuit de Monaco in Monte Carlo, Monaco on 27 April 2024. It was the 7th edition of the Monaco ePrix and served as the eighth round of the 2023–24 Formula E World Championship. Background Pascal Wehrlein entered the weekend in the lead of the championship with 89 points, level with Jake Dennis and 9 points ahead of Oliver Rowland in third. Jaguar entered the weekend in the lead of the Teams' Championship on 128 points, with a 16 point lead over Andretti Global and a 19 point lead ahead of Porsche. Porsche lead the Manufacturers' Trophy with 190 points, 33 ahead of Jaguar and 36 ahead of Nissan. Driver change McLaren driver Sam Bird crashed during FP1 and suffered a hand injury. Andretti Global, formerly known as Andretti Autosport, is an American motorsports organization with teams competing in the IndyCar Series, Indy NXT, Formula E, Extreme E, and joint entries in IMSA and the Australian Supercars Championship. Maximilian Günther (born 2 July 1997) is a German racing driver currently competing in Formula E for Maserati MSG Racing. Günther has previously driven in Formula 2 with Arden and for Dragon Racing, BMW i Andretti and Nissan e.dams in Formula E. He achieved his first win in Formula E at the 2020 Santiago ePrix. Robin Frijns (born 7 August 1991) is a Dutch motor racing driver. He is the 2012 Formula Renault 3.5 Series champion, and the first driver to have won the series in his debut season since Robert Kubica in 2005. Frijns is currently competing in Formula E driving for Team ABT and in the FIA World Endurance Championship for Team WRT. Lucas Tucci di Grassi (born 11 August 1984) is a Brazilian professional racing driver who competes in the FIA Formula E World Championship for Mahindra Racing. Taylor Barnard (born 1 June 2004) is a British racing driver who is currently racing for Jenzer Motorsport in FIA Formula 3.
