2024 Malaysia Masters
The 2024 Malaysia Masters (officially known as the Perodua Malaysia Masters 2024 presented by Daihatsu for sponsorship reasons) was a badminton tournament that took place at the Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from 21 to 26 May 2024 and had a total prize of US$420,000. Tournament The 2024 Malaysia Masters was the thirteenth tournament of the 2024 BWF World Tour and was part of the Malaysia Masters championships, which had been held since 2009. This tournament was organised by the Badminton Association of Malaysia with sanction from the BWF. Putra Indoor Stadium (Malay: ''Stadium Putra''), currently named as Axiata Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The Badminton Association of Malaysia or BAM ( Malay: ''Persatuan Badminton Malaysia'') is the governing body of badminton in Malaysia. The association was founded in 1964. Ng Ka Long
Angus Ng Ka Long (born 24 June 1994) is a Hong Kong badminton player. He has a career-high ranking of 6th in the men's singles discipline. He won the 2016 Hong Kong Super Series, the 2020 Thailand Masters and the 2023 German Open. Early life and education Ng trained at the Hong Kong Sports Institute. Lu Guangzu
Lu Guangzu (; born on 19 October 1996) is a Chinese badminton player. He was a silver medalist in the 2025 Asian Championships. Lu was integrated to China winning team in the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup, as well at the 2024 Thomas Cup. In 2018, Lu made into his first final at the Lingshui China Masters. Lee Cheuk Yiu
Lee Cheuk Yiu (; born 28 August 1996) is a Hong Kong badminton player. He won the silver medal at the 2013 Asian Youth Games and a bronze medal at the 2014 Asian Junior Championships. Career Lee reached the final of the 2019 Hong Kong Open, after quarter- and semi-final wins against former world champion Viktor Axelsen and former world number one Srikanth Kidambi respectively. Chou Tien-chen (; born 8 January 1990) is a Taiwanese badminton player. He became the first local shuttler in 17 years to win the men's singles title of the Chinese Taipei Open in 2016 since Indonesian-born Fung Permadi won it in 1999. Loh Kean Yew
Loh Kean Yew LKY (born 26 June 1997) is a Singaporean badminton player. He is the former men's singles world champion, winning the title at the 2021 BWF World Championships – Men's singles, 2021 BWF World Championships, becoming the first Singaporean to achieve this feat. Kunlavut Vitidsarn (; simply known as View (); born 11 May 2001) is a Thai badminton player who became the first Thai to become No.1 in men's singles. He is the current World and Asia men's singles champions as he won the gold medals at the 2023 World Championships and 2025 Asian Championships, as well a silver medalist in the 2024 Olympic Games. Li Shifeng (; born 9 January 2000) is a Chinese badminton player. He is a gold medallist in the men's singles at the 2022 Asian Games and won 1 All England title. BWF World Tour
The BWF World Tour is a Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles (men's and women's) and doubles (men's, women's and mixed). The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017. The BWF World Tour are divided into six levels, namely World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, and Super 300 in order (part of the HSBC World Tour).
