2024 Major League Baseball Uniform Controversy
Beginning in the 2024 Major League Baseball season, 2024 season, Major League Baseball (MLB) adopted a new template for its Major League Baseball uniforms, uniforms, designed by Nike, Inc., Nike and produced by Fanatics, Inc., Fanatics, officially titled the Nike Vapor Premier. The new uniforms have been subject to much controversy and criticism. While some players have praised the new uniform's feel and mobility, other players and fans have complained that the Baseball jersey, jerseys are of poor quality. Background From 2005 to 2019, MLB uniforms were manufactured by Majestic Athletic, which was purchased by Fanatics in 2017. Nike and Fanatics began designing the new uniforms in 2018, with more than 300 players undergoing body scans to analyze how the players wore the jerseys. Logan Keith Gilbert (born May 5, 1997) is an American professional baseball pitcher for the Seattle Mariners of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut in 2021. Amateur career Gilbert attended Wekiva High School in Apopka, Florida. He pitched and played first base in high school. He was named his team MVP his senior season. Brandon Tate Nimmo (born March 27, 1993) is an American professional baseball outfielder for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). City Connect is a brand name for a line of third jersey, alternate uniforms made by Nike, Inc. for Major League Baseball (MLB) teams.
