The 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers season is the 135th season for the Los Angeles Dodgers franchise in Major League Baseball (MLB), their 67th season in Los Angeles, California, and their 62nd season playing their home games at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles California. Shohei Ohtani made his Dodgers debut after signing a record 10-year, $700 million contract with the club in the off-season. National League West
The National League West is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. This division was formed for the 1969 season when the National League expanded to 12 teams by adding the San Diego Padres and the Montreal Expos. For purpose of keeping a regular-season of 162 games, half of the teams were put into the new East Division and half into the new West Division. Within each division, the teams played 18 games each against their five division mates (90 games), and also 12 games against the teams in the opposite division (72 games), totaling 162 games. , nicknamed "Shotime", is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher, designated hitter and outfielder for the Los Angeles Angels of Major League Baseball (MLB). He previously played for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters of Nippon Professional Baseball's (NPB) Pacific League. Ohtani was the first pick of the Fighters in the 2012 draft.
