2024 Kaohsiung Masters
The 2024 Kaohsiung Masters, officially the Victor Kaohsiung Masters 2024, was a badminton tournament which took place at the Kaohsiung Arena in Kaohsiung, Taiwan from 18 to 23 June 2024 and had a total prize of $100,000. Tournament The 2024 Kaohsiung Masters was the seventeenth tournament of the 2024 BWF World Tour. This was the second edition of Kaohsiung Masters. This tournament was organized by Chinese Taipei Badminton Association and sanctioned by the BWF. Venue This international tournament was held at the Kaohsiung Arena in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. Kaohsiung Arena
The Kaohsiung Arena () is an indoor sporting arena located in Zuoying District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is used to host indoor sporting events. It was used as a host to some of the indoor sporting events during the 2009 World Games. Name Local people give the nickname of Kaohsiung Arena as the ''Big Egg'' due to its shape and resemblance of an egg. History Kaohsiung Arena was opened on 27 September 2008. Architecture Kaohsiung Arena covers an area of 57,037 m2 and has a capacity of 15,000 people. It stands to a height of 42 meters over 6 floors. BWF World Ranking
The BWF World Ranking is the official ranking of the Badminton World Federation for badminton players who participate in tournaments sanctioned by Badminton World Federation. It is used to determine the qualification for the World Championships and Summer Olympic Games, as well as BWF World Tour tournaments. Seedings of draws at all BWF-sanctioned tournaments are conducted using the BWF World Ranking. Alwi Farhan Alhasny (born 12 May 2005) is an Indonesian badminton player. He was part of the Indonesia men's team squad that won gold medal at the 2023 SEA Games. Cheam June Wei (born 23 January 1997) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the mixed doubles gold medalist at the 2014 Summer Youth Olympics. Career Cheam started playing badminton at aged 8 in Penang. As a junior player, he has been trained by Teh Peng Huat, the former coach of world No. 1 Lee Chong Wei, for more than year before training under task Lim Theam Teow. In 2012, he won the mixed team bronze medal at the Asia Junior Championships in Gimcheon, South Korea. Su Li-yang (; born 27 December 2001) is a Taiwanese badminton player. Career Su Li-yang's father Su Chih-ming was also a badminton player. Su Li-yang started to playing badminton when he was in the first grade of elementary school.
