2024 Japan Masters
The 2024 Japan Masters (officially known as the Kumamoto Masters Japan 2024) was a badminton tournament which took place at Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium in Kumamoto, Japan, from 12 to 17 November 2024 and had a total prize of $420,000. Tournament The 2024 Japan Masters was the thirty-fifth tournament of the 2024 BWF World Tour and also part of the Japan Masters (badminton), Japan Masters championships, which have been held since 2023. This tournament is organized by the Nippon Badminton Association with sanction from the Badminton World Federation, BWF. Venue This tournament was held at Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium in Kumamoto, Japan. Kumamoto Prefectural Gymnasium
is an indoor arena, indoor sports arena, located in Kumamoto, Japan. There are three halls and a swimming pool inside the gymnasium which is open for the public. The main hall holds 4,110 people. The hall hosted some of the group games for the 2007 FIVB Volleyball Women's World Cup. It also hosted some of the group games for the 2011 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup. BWF World Tour Super 500
The BWF World Tour is a Badminton World Federation#Grade 2, Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles (men's and women's) and doubles (men's, women's and mixed). The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018 BWF World Tour schedule, 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017. The BWF World Tour are divided into six levels, namely World Tour Finals, Super 1000, Super 750, Super 500, and Super 300 in order (part of the HSBC World Tour). Christo Popov (born 8 March 2002) is a French badminton player who affiliate with Fos club. He won the men's doubles gold at the 2025 European Championships with his brother Toma Junior Popov. He also won a silver in the men's singles and a bronze in the men's doubles at the 2023 European Games. He became the first Frenchman to reach the semi-finals of the All England Open. Brian Yang (born 25 November 2001) is a Canadian badminton player. Loh Kean Yew LKY (born 26 June 1997) is a Singaporean badminton player. He is the former men's singles world champion, winning the title at the 2021 BWF World Championships – Men's singles, 2021 BWF World Championships, becoming the first Singaporean to achieve this feat. Leong Jun Hao ( zh, t=梁峻豪, s=, p=Liáng Jùnháo; born 13 July 1999) is a Malaysian badminton player. He was the boys' singles champion at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships. Anthony Sinisuka Ginting
Anthony Sinisuka Ginting (; born 20 October 1996) is an Indonesian badminton player. He first rose to senior prominence when he won the bronze medal at the 2018 Asian Games, having won a 2014 Youth Olympic bronze in 2014. At the 2020 Olympics, he won bronze in the men's singles event, becoming the first Youth Olympic badminton medalist to win a medal at the Olympics.
