Campbell County is a county in the U.S. state of Wyoming. As of the 2020 United States census, the population was 47,026, making it the third-most populous county in Wyoming. Its county seat is Gillette. Campbell County comprises the Gillette, WY Micropolitan Statistical Area. History Campbell County was created in 1911 from land annexed from Crook and Weston Counties. 2024 United States Presidential Election In Wyoming
The 2024 United States presidential election in Wyoming took place on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, as part of the 2024 United States presidential election in which all 50 states plus the District of Columbia participated. Wyoming voters chose electors to represent them in the Electoral College via a popular vote. The state of Wyoming has 3 electoral votes in the Electoral College, following reapportionment due to the 2020 United States census in which the state gained no further congressional seats. The Nelons
The Nelons, formerly the Rex Nelon Singers, were an American southern gospel group based in Atlanta, Georgia. Group members included Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason Clark, and Kelly's daughters Amber Nelon Kistler and Autumn Nelon Streetman. The Nelons were inducted into the Gospel Music Association (Gospel Music Association, GMA) Hall of Fame in 2016. Three members of the quartet 2024 Gillette Pilatus PC-12 crash, were killed in an airplane crash in July 2024. The surviving member, Autumn Nelon Streetman, was not on board the aircraft. 2024 Gillette Pilatus PC-12 Crash
On July 26, 2024, a Pilatus PC-12 single-engine aircraft with seven people on board crashed near the Wyoming–Montana border just north of Gillette, Wyoming, United States. All seven on board were killed upon impact. Three members of the gospel quartet the Nelons—vocalist Kelly Nelon Clark, her husband Jason, and her daughter Amber—as well as the pilot, Georgia Department of Corrections chairman Larry Haynie, were among the deceased.
